This upscale beautifully decorated Bungalow is located within walking distance of the Resort beaches located on the Emerald Coast in Destin Florida. Our "cottage" is located in a quaint neighborhood called the "Bungalos." The Resort is an exclusive, gated and highly secure family vacation resort. You get it all, the beach, the bay, the lakes, exciting Baytowne Village and the very excursive Marina at the Wharf where there are swimming pools, restaurants, walking and biking trails, shopping, ice cream parlors, etc... We will provide you proper authorization so that you will be able to come and go virtually 24 hours per day with ease.
The Resort is known for the clear blue-green waters along the nearly pure "sugar" white sands. Peak seasons the Resort and other businesses sponsor live bands for listening and dancing nearly every night. Free evening concerts are scattered all along the beaches of South Walton. The resort has extensive landscaping, with lush flowers, trees and Florida cottage architecture sets the tone for the Bungalos. Our Bungalo has that quaint Key West type appeal with palm trees outside and a master suit with walk-in closet.
The nearly new home is in the Resort's newest neighborhood which boasts high ceilings, doorways and hallways, limestone floors with designer rugs, a custom kitchen with granite counter tops, lavishly decorated throughout. Also included for guests is a queen sofa sleeper. We feature a furnished screened-in Lanai with gas grill, table, chairs and lounges. (See pictures).
TV's with cable, all with DVD and/or VCR. We are about 200 feet from the beautiful neighborhood pool, which features dressing rooms, restrooms, lounge chairs and extra guest parking. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful pools in the resort!
It is a very short drive to the Beach, Bay, Baytowne Wharf & Village, golfing, and marina. There is the new Market Place Mall attached to the resort for grocery, restaurants and clothing stores. You may also rent your own golf cart with this property to drive on the resort.Now we’ve barely mentioned our beach! The Emerald Coast is on the western panhandle of Florida that has the famed “Sugar Beach,” so called because the nearly pure white super fine silica sand which has the consistency of sugar. The Emerald Coast, known for it’s clear emerald green water, is on the western panhandle of Florida that has the famed “Sugar Beach." These super refined crumbs of the Appalachian Mountains that have been washed down from the mountains for thousands of years now cover the beaches of the Emerald Coast are around 97% pure quartz. This sand is unique in that it is so soft that it will squeak under your feet. Little wonder that it is considered one of the finest beaches in the world! Western Florida boasts over 300 sunny days per year. Water temps are high 80's in the summer and low 70's to mid 60’s in winter.
The Resort has great beach access with a pool on the beach, a live band, restaurants and even showers to rinse off. There's plenty of parking in most areas of the resort. Lots of fun activities for the kids, they even have Jolee Island, an island park with a pirate theme with lots of playground equipment. Fun for the adults too!
Last but not least there's 4 championship golf courses or if tennis is your passion there are 15 world class tennis courts, a 98 slip marina, two dozens shops and restaurants in a walk in village. There is a basketball court and miles of bike trails to run, jog, rollerblade, walk or ride a bike. Almost no matter how long you stay there won't be enough time to enjoy it all.
Featured are also lighted pedestrian bike tunnel under the highway to the beachside. Miles of running and bike trails throughout the resort. Be sure to stroll the marina in the Village at the Wharf to see the fabulous ocean going yachts.
