Our Cabin is located adjacent to the Arapaho National Forest in the town of Winter Park. The cabin is close to trail head for mountain biking or hiking into the National Forest. During the summer, there are many activities to keep you busy during your stay. You can mountain bike right off the property to over 600 miles of marked, mapped trails. You can also hike along Vasquez Creek, located nearby, as well as other many beautiful mountain trails in the vicinity.
In the summer, you can visit Rocky Mountain National Park, and enjoy water sports on Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake,all less than 45 minutes away. You can also fly fish, play golf on one of four great local golf courses and even attend local rodeos. Our town hosts a variety of special events: jazz and folk concerts, art festivals, bike races, and much, much more. You can also access free parks for tennis, basketball, skateboarding and playgrounds for the kids.
During the winter, you can cross-country ski or snowshoe right out the door of the cabin onto the trails in Arapahoe National Forest. The free ski shuttle bus picks you up out front of the cabin for transportation to the Winter Park ski area for great down hill skiing and snowboarding. You are only one mile from downtown Winter Park for ice skating, shopping, dining and entertainment.
The cabin is a real "log cabin." It has radiant in-floor heat, vaulted ceilings, and a covered front porch. It is completely and comfortably furnished and ready for your use.
