...Light pours through the skylights and open windows of this very lovely, small apartment in the center of Florence.

Situated on the top floor with a private security entrance, up three full flights, this apartment has been completely restored while preserving the beautiful Florentine high-beamed ceilings.

It is on two levels: first level is the living room/kitchen and full bathroom with Jacuzzi, then upstairs is the master bedroom with a small bathroom. It can sleep four, two upstairs and two downstairs in a sofa bed.

The master bedroom is air-conditioned for summer months. It has a fully equipped modern kitchen with all appliances, a clothes washer and dryer. It is beautifully furnished with handmade furniture made by one of the leading furniture craftsman of this area. Each piece is specially designed for this living space.

Located on Borgo Ognissanti, between Via Santa Lucia and Via Massa Fineguerra, it is a short walk to the train station and bus, a block up to the Arno River and the bridges, and a few blocks from Piazza Repubblica. Centro/Duomo. It is a prime location filled with great restaurants, small shops, bookstores, enotecas, and fruit markets. The famous Ognissanti church (the Jewel of Florence) is only a block away. There is a big parking center nearby, if you come in by car.

It is available year round. There is a three day minimum stay. Longer stays than a month are available upon request. I am also available as a consultant in getting around the city, where to go, sights, restaurants, great excursions, general questions, emergencies, etc.. Personalized service is included in the rent.

  • This very quaint apartment is in a great location. Many shops are located right on the same street for groceries, pastry, coffee, etc. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare lunch and breakfast so we could "splurge"on dinner every night. Our teenage daughter found the sofa-bed very comfortable. We appreciate the hospitality of our hostess and definitely will be back.

  • Echoing previous comments I'd like to amplify that this apartment is superb from a location and amenities perspective. Mary Rose was easy to communicate with in terms of the initial inquiry and booking process; she even assisted us in securing museum reservations. The apartment is very well positioned within the city so the historic center is easily accessible as is the train station and other services. The apartment's two-story layout works well and the second bathroom in the bedroom upstairs is nice to have. Specifically, the mattress was very comfortable and the kitchen is perfectly set up with nice appliances. Laundry is a nice plus, too. As noted by earlier reviewers, the street has a mini-mart, restaurants, several bakeries, etc. All in all we had a very positive experience with the apartment and would surely stay there again.

  • We just returned from our stay in Florence and found the apartment, Bellissimo, a perfect location to explore the city. It was so convenient to all the major sites and resturants. The charm of the apartment makes one feel she is actually living as a local. It also has all the conviences of home. Mary Rose is a great reference and her recommendations for resturants, museums and other facets of Florence were invaluable. The whole trip was magnifico!

  • This is a very charming, clean, and comfortable apartment just a 5 minute walk south of the train station, and within easy walking distance of Florence's main sights. The street has all the shops you'll need: fruit and vegetable, pastry, a mini- supermart, meat, fish, hardware, etc. plus restaurants and a pizzeria. An internet center is around the corner. Mary Rose made everything easy! We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in florence.

  • I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Florence. It is incredibly convenient to the main attractions of Florence as well as the train station for day trips, spacious, nicely decorated and reasonably priced. After long days - it was nice to come back to an apartment (loved the Jacuzzi!) versus a hotel room (especially since I was with my teenage daughter!). Thank you again - Bill

  • My husband and I stayed at Mary's lovely top floor apartment for 3 days in early October 2007. We were in Italy for 3 weeks and this apartment in the heart of Florence was the best experience we had out of all the apartments and 4 star hotels we stayed at. The unit is completely updated, charming, very clean, has every amenity you'll ever need, the neighbors are quiet, and the neighborhood is wonderful. There are many shops, cafes and bars in the area. It was a treat to get back to the apartment after a long day of touring. It felt like home. The train station is only a 5 minute walk away. The apartment location is close enough to the sites, yet far enough away from the crowds. You'll feel like you're experiencing real Florentine life when you stay at her apartment. Her payment terms were simple and flexible. Dealing with her was a breeze and we'll definitely stay there again. Can't wait to go back!

  • My husband and I stayed at your oasis on 4 Oct 2007. I call it an oasis because that is what is was. The washer AND dryer, the air cond., the generous bathtub, all were just like being at home and quenched our thirst for those American conveniences we are so addicted to. But the special suprise was the cell phone. We were meeting up with friends quite often and having the cell phone was just what we needed. Your apartment also had a wonderful and resourceful library full of important and up to date information on the marvelous city of Florence. Besides the fact that the apartment oozed quaintness, it was also quite convenient to the buses, river, and train station. Thanks again for the lovely accommodation. We look forward to returning in the future.
