The Ixchel Beach Hotel offers luxury accommodations on the island's most beautiful beach (Playa Norte). The 2 bedroom condo offers spectacular views of the Sea with magnificent sunsets. The island is easy to get to. Its only about 40 minutes from exiting the airport to the condo.
Transportation is plentiful and the new high speed ferry service is excellent.
The condo/ hotel has friendly bi-lingual staff to help plan your activities and take care of your every need. The island has world class diving, fishing and snorkeling as well as shopping and swimming with the dolphins. Swimming in the sea or relaxing on the beach are at your doorstep.
There are a multitude of options for restaurants from authentic Mexican to fine dining. All this plus live music to dance the night away is minutes from your condo. I can recommend at least 10 restaurants that you will enjoy. If you want to have some meals in, there is a supermarket conveniently located for all your food needs.
The condo is fully furnished and equipped for a home away from home. The 2 bedroom suite can sleep 4 adults and 1 child comfortably with a king size bed in the master and 2 doubles in the other bedroom. Both bedrooms have a TV(satellite), VCR, alarm, and phone. The suite has 2 full bathrooms with dressing rooms and large closets as well as a chest of drawers. The living room has a flat screen TV, VCR, I-pod speaker and stereo. This is one of only a few larger units in the building and rents for the same price as other smaller units. The balcony is also more private and looks directly to the water. The condo can rent as a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom unit. The second bedroom can lock off and be a separate rental room. The rate page shows prices for all 3 rental options.
It is air-conditioned, has a card entry lock system,electronic safe, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee pot,toaster oven, dishes, pots etc. Linens, towels and beach towels are provided.
The terrace has a hammock, 2 reading chairs and a dining table with 4 chairs.
The Hotel has beach loungers, umbrellas and chairs exclusively for Ixchel guests
The Island is a "little piece of heaven" and when you visit once that will be the beginning of many more visits.

This has been my 4th visit to this wonderful condo and it feels like home! The decor is gorgeous and I so appreciate your attention to detail - plenty of movies, blender for icy beverages, comfy bed, Ipod docking station...the list goes on and on! I only wish I had this view at home - nothing beats watching sunsets from the balcony - except maybe lounging on the hammock when I needed a respite from the sun. Yet did I ever get my dose of Sun! The beach is terrific and did I ever get brown from lazing around the beautiful blue-green sea! The Staff was ever ready to take care of our needs, with an umbrella, yummy cold drinks and snacks. And the infinity pool offered a nice change to cool off from the rays. Sheer relaxation. And I always find the Staff to be so helpful and friendly. It was great to just go downstairs for an invigorating yet relaxing massage. The kitchen was set with everything we needed yet with so many great restaurants so close, we didn't do much cooking. My mouth waters when I think of the food at Olivia's and Qubano; and nothing beats eating the fresh catch of the day at Las Brisas down on the beach - and fruit from Ruben is definitely a must! And I am so appreciate how helpful Sheryl was. Thanks for the hook-up with Captain Tony - who took us on an unforgetable trip to swim with the whale sharks! My family of four, Son - 19 and daughter 18, stayed in Sheryl'sunit on the 3rd floor. My wife and I have traveled to Mayan R. as a couple and as a family quite a few times in the past decade. When we were ready to "graduate" from an all inclusive vacation we explored Isla. The Ixchel 1 Beach Condos were absolutely fantastic. The location on beautiful North Beach, the staff and proximity to town make these units absolutely ideal. The kids had there own room, bathroom, fridge and tv.I can not say enough good things about our experience. The kids still talk about that trip and offer to contribute in an effort to get back as soon as possible. I have personally recommended Ixchel to friends and family and would recommend them to anyone. You have a private beach with chairs and umbrella included, private pool, all on one of the nicest calmest, walkable beaches I have ever been to. During the day the wait staff would bring us guacamole and chips to our lounge chairs, they brought us drinks when ever we asked, when we got hot we would just walk a few steps and cool off in the ocean water and for a change we would jump in the pool. Some days I would get the blender going in our room and make a lot of friends at the beach. Absolutely great trip, and can not wait to go back.
