This home was amazing! As a family of 6 with three young children I was a little nervous about safety and cleanliness after a previous rental experience in Omaha, but Stephen answered all of my questions, and when I arrived I was immediately relieved. The house was clean and well maintained. There had been a bad hail storm shortly before we arrived, but we never would have guessed. The homeowners took care of getting the home cleaned and fixed up before we arrived - the only evidence of the storm was in other neighborhood homes under repair. The house sits right on the lake offering a wonderful view. Our kids loved watching the ducks in the morning and evening. The old market, downtown and the baseball stadium are also very close. I can not imagine a better home for our family to vacation in, and I look forward to future visits.
Owner response:I must say there was a fair amount of sweat that went into getting things back in order. Who would ever have anticipated getting baseball sized hail in our high season! Your review made it all worth it.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Lake House! We enjoyed the view of the snow covered lake from the large windows in the living room! Absolutely stunning. We are a famliy of five and the house was more than accommodating. Also drove over to the ski resort in Iowa for the day! (About 30 minutes drive) Would definitely recommend this property for anyone staying in the Omaha area! Thanks for offering a great place to spend time away from home!
Owner response:Glad we could oblige and certainly agree with a home away from home for an extended stay.
Recommended for:Families with young children.

3 of my friends and I just stayed at this house for opening weekend of the CWS last weekend. We were blown away by the size and beauty of this house. You have beautiful views of the lake no matter where you go in the house. It trult felt like home away from home!
Owner response:It is tough to beat some of the scenic views in Arizona, so we are sure glad we could provide such a great impression of Omaha. Hope you are able to return again soon.

The house has more room in it than you can actually tell by looking at the photos. It is very spacious and nice. Walking out of the balcony is a very nice view of the lake. Stephen, the owner, was very helpful in getting my Dad's cell phone back to us that he left on the rental property and he did not have to do that for us. Thank you Stephen for going that extra mile. I would recommend this property to anyone. We had a wonderful family outing and I would not trade the memories we made for anything in the world.
Owner response:Susie - thank you. It was no problem returning your lost item. I agree is it hard to get the feeling for the two living rooms and open floor plan until you see it first hand. Glad everything worked out well.

Perfect place to stay for my son's Omaha wedding

We had a wonderful time at your lakehouse over Memorial Day weekend for our son's wedding. We had four generations of our family out from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio - and it was so much nicer staying together rather than in several hotel rooms. The location so near the airport was great for meeting so many flights, and yet it felt like a resort on the lake - and so close to downtown. The house was comfortable and very clean. Our only complaint was that we must have been the first guests of the season to use the deck and it took us a while to clean it before it could be used.
Owner response:Lorrie - Thank you for your feedback. We will work to keep things clean and in order including the deck. :-)

We visited Omaha for the College World Series and had a great time at the house. The setting was fantastic, the house was clean and spacious.
Owner response:Robert - thank you. Next year we will be even closer as the CWS moves downtown and within just a couple minutes from our property.

The house is clean, spacious, and very comfortable. There were six adults in our party and we chose this location for the convenience to downtown Omaha and the opportunity it provided for everyone to share a common areas instead of gathering in a small hotel room. Beautiful view overlooking the lake and the paved pathways along the lake make for a wonderful stroll anytime of the day. The property is tucked away in a residential area with narrow streets so was difficult to locate at first, but once there was certainly worth it. Good value for the money!
Owner response:I'm happy to see my alma mater and home town mentioned in the same line. :-) Glad to see you were able to take in amenities like the paved pathways along the lake. We have tried to figure a way to make it easier to find but have only come up with "its the only yellow house at the end of the lane and looks just like the pictures". Even GPS systems are half a block off so we are sure the mention that ahead of time. I figure it all adds to the exclusivity once you arrive.
