Demorest is located between Cleveland, Clarkesville and Helen and our house is right on the Chattahoochee River. Very secluded and private. Great place to relax and enjoy the sounds and views of the great outdoors.

We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! There was plenty of room for all 12 of us, mostly adults. The weather couldn't have been better, the convenience of town, both Cleveland, Helen and Demorest made it great! The swing was a huge hit with most everyone!! Ken was great to deal with and was prompt in responding to all questions! Look forward to possibly staying here in the future!!

I stayed in this rental cabin in October 2011 for a girl's wine weekend and it easily housed all 12 of us. There was enough space, bedrooms and bathrooms for all, and we were not on top of each other, especially with the amazing decks to escape onto. Breathtaking views. It's directly on the river, so I'm sure in the summer tubing and fishing are a must. A short drive, and you're in Helen, not that you even need to leave the cabin to enjoy your vacation. It can be a little tricky to find and the driveway is super steep, but all of our vehicles (both SUVs and cars) made the journey just fine. I highly recommend the rental, and the owner couldn't be nicer or more accommodating.

This was the perfect cabin for our family getaway. Everyone had plenty of room, the kids and dogs enjoyed the river. We definitely plan to return.

The house is truly wonderful, especially with the large screened in porch. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch and listen to the river flow by. The rope swing was a big hit, too! We are from south Florida and my children (22-32) had never driven unpaved mountain roads, so the entry to the house was difficult. Their Honda's bottomed out on the ruts and steep inclines on the road leading up to the house. The road was being graded as we left the last day. The girls loved the house, just hated getting in and out to the road.

Our family had recently suffered a devastating loss. We (myself, mom, brother and nephew) were looking for a get-away for some much needed quiet time and peace of mind. We found it here! We loved the solitude, being in the woods with Mother Nature and hearing the river roll by. We spent some time in Helen and loved it there. Did the zip lines, played putt-putt golf, shopped, had ice cream and tried the bavarian food. Loved it all. We did some sight seeing in the area as well. We absolutely loved the scenery here in northeast Georgia. But most of all, like so many other visitors to this cabin, we loved sitting on the screened in porch just taking in the sights and sounds of Mother Nature... listening to the river and watching it was enough to sooth the soul. And we so needed it. Thanks so much Kent, to you and your family for sharing your piece of paradise with us. God Bless.

Plenty of room for our families. We enjoyed the front closed in porch the most. Sit on the porch and look out to the river and was able to watch family fishing in the river. Great river access. Look forward to returning and visiting again.

This house was a great find. We were there for 3 days and wish we could have stayed longer. We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep and eat, which is hard to find with a large group. The kids (all teens) loved the tree swings and all of us enjoyed the river, some fished and some tried. I guess my favorite part of the trip was sitting on the porch listening to the river. If I could have taken that with me I would have been a happy girl. I hope this will be a spot we can return to every year for a few days, it is close to home and a perfect spot.

My family of 5 met my brother and his family of 5 along with our mother at this cabin during new years weekend. The Cabin is in a great location, being on the Chattahoochee river was very nice, you always hear the rapids from the river which is very relaxing. We enjoyed watching a football game on the screened in porch where there is also a propane heater that made it very enjoyable to hang out on the porch even on a chilly day. The house was well equipped, numerous TV's, Playstation for kids etc...., plenty of room for our family of 11 to sleep comfortably. The house was also clean and well maintained. Owner was easy to work with and communicate with. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Our family spent Thanksgiving week at this cabin and could not have been more pleased. The riverside location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Sitting on the front porch every morning in full view and sound of the peaceful river was a much needed retreat from the business of home. We enjoyed the fire pit for roasting marshmellows and the kids loved the rope swings. The interior was clean and well furnished. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids and the 3 separate sleeping areas (loft, main level and basement) gave everyone their own private area. The location is convenient as well; we made quick trips into Helen and Cleveland to do some shopping, hiking and golfing. The owner was easy to communicate with and called during and after our stay to ensure we were satisfied. We would definetely go back to this location.
