If you get up early enough you might just see the tracks of female Giant Sea Turtle as she makes her way up the beach to lay eggs and then returns to the sea. Or hunt for that perfect shell as you stroll on the beach in the early morning breeze with your coffee in hand. The dolphins might just follow you as you walk along the beach. They love to frolic early in the morning.
Lounge under an umbrella while the kids build sandcastles and swim in the surf. Bring your fishing rods and catch your dinner...the whiting are great. Sip your wine and watch the sunset, while you rock in the big white rockers on any of the three decks.
Kids can hide away in their special room with bunk beds and tv.
Make snow angels in the sand under the incredible Milky Way at night. You can see more stars than you have ever dreamed. See the Big and Little Dippers and many more.
Build bonfires and roast marshmellows,and make smores.
Whether you love strolling on the white sugar beach or swimming in the private community pool, you can do it all here at Chunky Monkey.
Five houses share the 2 pools.
The master bedroom has a second floor balcony,king size bed, huge walk in closet,and private bath with double sinks, shower,and jacuzzi tub for 2.
There is a second bedroom on the second floor with a queen bed and private bath.
On the first floor there is another bedroom with a queen bed,and hall bath. The kids' room has 2 sets of bunk beds. The double mattress on the bottom of each is comfortable enough for adults. In the living room there is a pull out queen sofa.
In the open space of the great room there are tables to keep puzzles out, play card games,Trivial Pursuit, or the game of choice. There are tables and chairs to seat 14 for dinner.there are Five TVs, wireless broadband internet,and phones to keep you in touch with the real world if necessary.
Scallop Cove Convenience Store,located across the street, provides lots of entertainment for the kids. My kids make 2-3 trips a day for ice cream, candy, you name it! I too find it convenient for that one little thing I forgot to get at the store. Fishing equipment and licenses are also available there.
Be sure to go scalloping down at the St. Joe Park in July. It is only a mile or two away.

Thank you for sharing your home with us! Our family loved Chunky Monkey! The house was perfect for our large family. the beach is beautiful and just a short walk away. the kids loved the pool and we could sit on the porch and keep an eye on them.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our family stayed at The Chunky Monkey over the 4th of July Week. It was everything the description said and more! We truly enjoyed the peace and serenity of the location in Cape San Blas. The location of the beach and pool were perfect. The house was great and had everything that we needed. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you Susie for sharing your home with us.
