Our stay in this cottage was perfect! Everything we needed was available. The MIL slept on the couch, without pulling out the bed, and she loved it! Very comfy! The queen bed was a comfortable sleep, as well! Very close to the main street in OB. The courtyard gazebo out back was very useful! We enjoyed it each night! We rented a movie one night, and watched on the provided DVD player! The kitchen met our needs, as we cooked breakfast a morning or two. Mimosas in the gazebo were nice! We were privileged to meet Chris and Denise, the owners, and they were very attentive to our needs! They were there making improvements to the property! Less than twenty minutes to downtown San Diego! Perfect location! If available, we'll be staying here again, on our next trip to visit our daughter!

We stayed here for a week in late October/early November with our dog. We came mainly for the dog beach, but discovered a laid back, unpretentious beach town. The manager was very attentive to our needs, and the house had everything we needed for a home away from home, plus cruiser bikes to ride to the dog beach and all around town, which is flat and easy to get around. The place was also spotless, and the bed very comfy.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Exactly as described & it was the perfect location for me for almost 5 weeks. All questions were answered before I arrived and found everything were they said it would be. A nice, quiet & safe street with a private backyard. When there was a pretty sunset, I could walk 2 blocks for a beautiful view. It was a short walk to the OB pier & beach, lots of good restaurants, fun antique malls, clothing & jewelry stores. Always a nice breeze coming off the ocean making it very comfortable. Wednesday evenings were devoted to the farmer's market on Newport Avenue with all kinds of vendors, including food, fresh vegetables, fruits & flowers, various artists & musicians . Some of my favorite restaurants were The Olive Tree Grocery on Sunset Cliffs for the friendly staff with a great deli & wine selections, fresh ground coffee, Julian pies & killer brownies! South Beach Grill on Newport was the place for fish tacos (must be 21 & over with ID to get in) & very good ocean view on the 2nd floor, Pizza Port on Bacon (family friendly) for the best pizza & micro-brewed beer/root beer and Margarita's Restaurant on Newport for Breakfast. I only needed a car a couple of times to venture out into San Diego for all it's charm & history. The cottage offered all that is needed for a "home away from home experience" with beach cottage charm and updated ammenties for the best price in town. I highly recommend this cottage to family, friends and strangers & plan to return within 6 months. Sooner, If I can get away!

We (2 adults and 1 dog) stayed here for a week in September. It was wonderful! Love the area! Spent alot of time just hanging out and relaxing. Great neighborhood. The pier and beach are all within walking distance. Many, many restaurants and coffee shops available. Everything else you need, the bungalow had. Totally comfy bed! One complaint .. wish the backyard area had doggie poop bags available. I didn't bring any along and it was a struggle the first night trying to locate a baggie. My dog loved loved loved dog beach. I couldn't take her there enough. Just one warning, as I didn't know this coming from AZ and it's not a problem here, is that my dog picked up fleas at the beach. So, collar up those pups before taking them!
