Great Location

This was our first trip to Keystone and the location was really good. There is a shuttle bus that runs about every 20 minutes, but we had a car, so it was only about a 2 minute drive to Mountain House or the gondola parking lots @ Keystone. There are lots of upgrades in this unit that you won't find in an investment-property managed unit- plenty of towels, washcloths, linens, clean- nicely decorated. The only negative comment we have is the bed- it was hard as a rock- like sleeping on plywood. If the bed was upgraded we would come back again- but it was definately a negative of this unit. The owner was great to work with. We enjoyed having the pool and laundry room right down the hall. The luggage carts and underground parking were great. The location was great- very close to the Keystone Village & Mountain House- a little far to walk in ski boots- but the shuttle stops right @ Gateway or you can drive it in just a couple of minutes. The only negative that we experienced, but it was a big negative was the bed- it was extremely hard and uncomfortable- but the location and other elements of the unit were great. If the bed was ungraded to a comfortable pillowtop mattress- we would definately rent this unit again- even at the peak price that we had to pay- and the weather was so warm that hardly anyone was at Keystone on spring break.- If the mattress isn't upgraded- then I would suggest that you pay a little more and find a unit with a better bed- it will make your trip so much more enjoyable when you can actually rest comfortably and sleep during your vacation.

Owner response:We appreciate the review. We strive hard to treat guests as we would want to be treated. We realize we can't always please everyone. The bed has been upgraded and is a little bit firm, but in the several years we have rented this unit, we have not had one complaint about the bed or the price, which is $20-$30 lower per nite than most rentals, especially in prime Spring Break Season. We use this condo ourselves and pay attention to the littlest of details. That is why we have a lot of repeat business each year.

This condo is absolutely perfect for a ski trip. It's clean, comfortable and close enough that you can walk to the lift if you want to. The underground parking is so convenient. Kim is superb to work with on scheduling. Very friendly and accomodating. I like to go back to the same place when I find a good one with a good owner. This place is it! You can walk 1 to 4 blocks to any number of great restaurant/bars. But, why would you when the Haywood Cafe is right down the hall and you don't even have to go outside to get to it? The Haywood has great food (not just your typical bar food), good beer and the friendliest help in Summit County. They serve a wonderful breakfast! We love this condo!! We consider it our Keystone home.

We had a great stay in this unit. The price was right for what we were looking for. The shuttle to the mountain was perfect. Having dinner ready to go in the crock pot was a big bonus when we got home from skiing all day. Kim was very easy to work with. We would stay again. It is perefect for 2 adults and 1 or 2 small kids.

I have stayed in this condo twice (once for a entire month), and i love it! The condo is extremely clean and functional. The sleeper sofa makes it perfect to invite an extra guest or two. The best part about the condo is it's location. Haywoods bar and grille is attached to the Gateway, and It is about a 7 minute walk to the ski lift! We are planning on venturing back here in the winter. I would highly recommend this condo. I love this place like it was my own home.
