We had a great time. It is perfect for 2 people. Power did go out, however, we still enjoyed ourselves and went out instead. Owner was very nice and helpful.

The condo was imaculate and very well furnished. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the beautiful view of the gulf. The keyless entry was great. Looking forward to be able to rent it again.

We use VRBO every summer to book in Gulf Shores. Although we've always dealt with good Owners on VRBO, Kathy has by far been the best. She was very prompt in all her communication and her booking process was simple. She truly made us feel at ease and comfortable booking with her. Perfect for a couple's get away

My husband and I just spent 5 days in this condo and really enjoyed it. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely go back. The room was very clean and perfect for a couple or small family. Even though it is across the road from the beach it is not a far walk and you have a beautiful view from the balcony. I had a few questions while I was visiting and emailed Kathy. She was helpful and very quick to respond.

This is the second year staying at GSSR and we love it, though this is the first time in this condo. It was great as well. Very clean, and just as advertised and pictured. The pool area is awesome and we love how quiet it is there. There are people there but its not overly crowded and everyone is so friendly. The beach is just across the way and its very peaceful as there is not as many people as down towards the main strip; we love it that way. But of course all the places to eat and things to do are only a few minutes down the road, if that. Anyways, we love it there and would highly recomend it to any one. Especially here, Kathy was a pleasure to deal with and quick to respond. My only complaint is paying a $70 cleaning fee and then being asked to make sure the trash and dishes and cleanup is done before we leave. If I'm paying that much to have the room cleaned when I leave I shouldn't be having to do most of it my self. All she had to do when we left was put in new towels change the bed sheets and clean the bathroom and floors...for $70 I want that job.

First family vacation

The condo was perfect for our family of 4. The beach was not crowded at all. I cant think of anything the condo didnt have that we needed. This was our first family trip with the kids and having no issues with the condo was great for our experience. We hopefully will be back again. Thanks for everything.

Our first time to the Gulf Shores was such a great experience! The condo was just as the pictures looked, it was clean and conveniently located to the area's attractions. The list of your favorite restaurants was so helpful because we had no idea where to begin, so thank you so much for sending it to us. It made our weekend easier to manage. The beach is right across the street and we enjoyed having our coffee on the balcony every morning. Thank you again for such a great condo and being so easy to work with! We will definitely be back. P.S. You have to try Lamberts Cafe... expect a long wait but it's worth it. :)

I TRULY ENJOYED MY STAY HERE. EXCELLENT LOCATION!! THE CONDO WAS CLEAN AND PERFECT. THE GROUNDS WERE VERY CLEAN, POOL WAS PERFECT OCEAN WAS FABULOUS!!!! I HIGHLY RECOOMEND STAYING HERE AND LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING. MY BOOKING AGENT KATHY IS THE BEST.

Not having been there before, I was not sure what to expect, but the ease of access to the beach, pool and of course the keyless entry was definitly worth the drive there. The condo was smaller than I had expected, but we spent little time there anyway, so no real issues there. I appreciated having carts to manuver our luggage etc. Having a kitchen and laundry right in the condo was a true plus. While some of my friends were waiting for laundry, we were able to keep up and not have the issue they did. The location was good, room was very clean and comfortable, sufficient parking and very quiet. If we had neighbors, I did not know it. I would definitly recommend this condo to a freind/others as it was a nice place to stay.

I stayed for two nights for a quick getaway with girlfriends. The condo was immaculate. Great location how it sits on the waterway and is a quick jot across the street to the beach. Surrounded by water. Beautiful pool. Friendly staff. Owner responded quickly to questions and supplied more than what was needed for a getaway. Can't wait to come back next year!!

My husband and I stayed here upon my retirement from teaching this year. A great way to celebrate! The condo was well appointed, spotless, and in a great location. We love the Surf and Racquet Club, as it is far enough from the hub bub of town, yet close enough to quickly drive in. Everything was in working order and we really loved the keyless entry. The view was spectacular and breakfast on the balcony overlooking the gulf couldn't be beat. I have stayed in several of Kathy's units and will continue to do so! Cheryl

Our stay in 402A this summer was wonderful! We really enjoyed the beautiful pool. The kitchen is very nicely updated. I spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony, reading and enjoying the view of the Gulf. It is very easy to cross the street to get to the beautiful beach. And we are very grateful to Kathy for her kindness early this year when we had to cancel and reschedule our vacation due to a death in the family - thanks so much, Kathy!

The condo unit #402A was just fine for our purposes. Some furniture items, e.g. bedroom dresser, is in pretty bad shape. Kitchen items, etc. were fine. Everything was clean and neat. Unfortunately we had only one day that you would call beach weather. The others were either too cool, rainy, windy, cloudy, or a combination of those. I'm sure that would be expected in late October. The condo location is a little remote for many restaurants, etc. We especially liked Cosmo's (grilled items and vegetables), DeSoto's (senior menu and grilled items), Bahama Bob's (good food and fun). It was very quiet in town in general with very few visitors. We would come earlier in the fall next time.

What a great weekend getaway! The condo was clean and cheerful, and we loved the keyless entry and the beautiful pool area. We ate breakfast every morning on the balcony and watched the beautiful gulf waves roll in. This was our first time staying at Gulf Shores Surf & Raquet Club, and we loved 402A! The balcony was perfect for watching the gulf when we had a rainy morning. Our condo was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Having the washer & dryer in the unit came in real handy too. Before selecting our place to stay, I had read mixed reviews for GSSR condos. The price fit our budget but I was a little concerned due to reviews. However, after staying in one of Kathy's condos, I would not hesitate to rent a condo from Kathy Gordon again. Everything was wonderful and perfect for our stay in room 402A.

Had a WONDERFUL time in Gulf Shores. The condo was clean and in a PERFECT location (pool and beach just a hop, skip, and jump away!) The area is beautiful - paved bike/walking/running trails for 18 miles!!! Will definitely return next Spring Break! :)

Owners are gracious, prompt, and wonderful to deal with. Property is clean, and we were impressed with the quality of appliances, pans, dishes, etc. The property has a great unobstructed view of the beach, and is accessible to restaurants, stores, etc. We WILL go back!

We stayed at GSSR 402A for the week of March 22-29, 2008 and was VERY impressed with the condo, ammenities and location. The condo is very well equipped and decorated and is very quiet and relaxing. a very short walk to the beach and most improtantly you can see the gulf from the balcony and hear the waves crashing on the beach. My husband and I were extremely pleased with our unit - 402A- when we stayed at GSSRC in July 07. The kitchen remodel was very well done, functional with all new appliances. The entire unit was spotless. My husband was thrilled with the keyless entry - no more room key to keep up with!
