"Sunset House", situated in the historic Springhill community just a few miles north of Bozeman, offers soulful renewal. Whether you come for work or play, this enchanting home and property full of trees, water features, and Bridger Mountain views will provide you with relaxation and repose.
THE HOUSE: Beautifully appointed, this newer cedar-sided ranch-style home offers exquisite bronzes, oil paintings, and Western-style furnishings, and ambience. Log front and back porches invite you for morning coffee and evening barbeques. The Montana Limestone counters in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen provide ample space to cook for friends, family, or yourself. The living room provides 2 leather-backed very comfortable sofas and a wonderful rocking easy chair for relaxed conversation, board games, drums and guitar-playing, reading, Satellite TV/DVD viewing, or quality stereo listening. Two well-behaved and lovely cats can join you or stay in their 'kitty condo' in the attached garage. The three appealing bedrooms are thematically designed: the "Before It Was Montana" room, with original oils of tipis and buffalo, the "African Room" with feather Masks and Serenghetti photos, and the "Celtic Room", the Irish romantic Master Bedroom with antiques, soft lighting, and a shower for two.
THE PROPERTY: With over 100 fully-grown shade trees, the fully-landscaped large yard offers open space for sport play (volleyball, badminton, croquet, frisbees included) and many benches for reading or watching the birds and mountains on a lazy summer day. A Fairy Grove is a grouping of trees surrounded by an antique wrought-iron gazebo. A hammock in the back yard is a wonderful way to relax. The waterfall, ponds, and stream run from May-October and allow for reflection or play. In winter, you can make cross-country tracks right on the property! And the tipi, named the 'Storyteller', may inspire you to settle back in the comfortable Adirondak chairs and tell a meaningful or humorous story about your own life. Or, in summer, you may prefer the tipi and its spacious deck for sleep-outs (with air mattresses!) or evening star-gazing, watching the moon travel across the night sky. Sunsets here are amazing; hence, the name "Sunset House". Sunset House rests on 2 acres in a one-lane country subdivision. It is surrounded by pastures and fields on 2 sides; once on the property you'll find privacy and beauty that will capture your attention.
