This 2 bedroom, 2 bath, air conditioned villa on tranquil Tankah Bay offers luxury accommodation and amenities in a very private setting with 24X7 security in this gated community. Both bedroom suites have king size beds plus a sitting area and comfortable futon couch. It sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children. Step through the handmade louvred doors onto your large terrace overlooking the Caribbean. Both bathrooms are tiled with Dorado travertine and have hand-made sinks. A "Bali-style" shower for two is attached to the downstairs bathroom.
A fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining and living area. Or, BBQ some fresh seafood and enjoy your meals by the pool or on the beach at your handmade tree-trunk picnic table.
Outdoors at Playa Belleza is like having your own private resort. In addition to your private pool with kids area, there is sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking in the bay, or you can explore the natural tide pools and comb the beach looking for treasures.

Why the Owner Chose Tankah
We bought our lot in Tankah Bay in 2003 and received our permits in 2007. We wanted the villa to be small, secluded and romantic. Tankah Bay is beautiful, yet it is in a quiet residential community. We think snorkeling, swimming and staring at the Caribbean are why people come here, so that is why we chose this magical place.

Jeff and I lived in Mexico for 3 years. We built a bed and breakfast called Maya Jardin and ran it and lived upstairs while we built Playa Belleza. Maya Jardin is now a villa for rent as well. We have moved back to the US with our Cancun cat, Sony, and our chocolate lab, Chloe, who lived in Mexico with us as well.
All of us are now enjoying the beauty of Washington state.

We just want to let you know that we had a marvelous time at Playa Belleza! We LOVED the house - everything about it - the layout, the cleanliness, the privacy, the view, the outdoor shower, the pool, the beach, the kayaks, the cute local dogs (the black & white one was my favorite)... everything. It was so peaceful and relaxing, we had a wonderful vacation! In fact, we think it's the best house in all of Tankah Bay. And we have to give major kudos to Mauricio and his family. They took wonderful care of us. The house always looked great and Mauricio was incredibly helpful. Not to mention what wonderful cooks he and his family are! We had them make two dinners for us, both were absolutely delicious. We had a great time with him. So please thank him when next you speak to him - we weren't able to say goodbye in person. We saw the iguana twice and also saw the resident osprey bet booted off his perch by a pelican. We hate to leave, but know we will come back next year.

From Our guestbook: Your home is very beautiful! The best part of the house is the view of the bay and the bay itself. We saw lots of fish as we snorkeled. My 12 year old saw an eel and I saw a turtle pop its head up this morning. The kids loved the day at Xel Ha and Steve loved fishing with Captain Rick, but we both loved being here at the house best. Home to come again!
