Our spectacular Cancun hotel zone is 13 miles long and 1/4 of a mile wide and we are located in the safe, upscale area (nearby: The Westin and Hilton) at the lower end of the hotel zone, peacefully away from the nightlong noise/time share pushing/street vending area of the busy nightclubs (spring break area) which satisfies our guests looking for rest and relaxation but who also want conveniences.
In our end of the hotel zone you will fall asleep listening to the ocean waves break gently on the last perfect beach.
Our grounds have tropical palm trees that decorate our property and we have two swimming pools and a swim up bar and a perfect white sand beach. The sparkling turquoise water of the Mexican Caribbean can be as gentle as a swimming pool, or wild enough for surfers to enjoy.
Mexico’s #1 shopping mall, "La Isla Shopping Village" is 10 minutes away via buses that run outside 24 hours a day, every minute, for 50 cents each person. La Isla is open conveniently 10am-10pm daily for everything you can ask for shopping plus fine and casual dining. Nearby are friendly, delicious and scenic restaurants for waterfront dining.
Luxury Avenue Kukulcan Plaza is even closer to us.
All inclusive is available if you wish to try it at our resort.Most of our guests come to take advantage of wonderful lagoon side restaurants and also the giant shrimp and tasty steaks they can purchase at Sams Club.
Walmart food-liquor buses (for groceries/alcohol 24 hours) run by right outside every two minutes to take you directly to shopping and saving.
WE LIVE HERE IN Solymar in order to manage with care, the properties. ENSURING that our guests are in total comfort...because of this we are the proud recipients of rave reviews by new and repeat guests always looking for 'Michelle and Peter's' rooms on many review sites.
We have ocean view suites, lagoon view suites and penthouse suites, and a special corner penthouse...many with private rooftops. We often have groups of happy vacationers. We often accommodate families of up to 32 people.
On our 13 mile island : 5 shopping malls, world class golf courses, fine dining and casual restaurants, aquarium/dolphin swimming activities, jet ski's, scuba diving, para-sailing, luxurious spas, pedestrian/runners path, snorkeling, fishing, waterpark/water slides, movie theatres, flea markets, world renowned nightclubs, live music.

Why the Owner Chose Solymar Beach Club
Its almost impossible to join the group of Solymar owners but if you get a chance, do it!!! Property values have gone up a lot since Hurricane Wilma of 2005 and if you hesitate, you lose to an owner who wants MORE property here. Terrific values, small maintenance fees and lower property tax plus we are part of Cancuns 12 mile hotel zone snug between 5 diamond properties...who could dream of a better neighborhood!!! In Cancun, we dream the moment that we wake up :)

We have a perfect beach, great pools...a bus that takes you anywhere and is so good it has kept us from owning a car all of these years...We enjoy world class spas and gourmet waterfront restaurants...now with the exchange rate so much in the favor of the foreigner, there has never been a better time to save money here.

Born in Edmonton,educated in Vancouver and Toronto, I always had a very hard time coming 'back to reality' after 2 or 3 week vacations no matter if they were to Barbados or New York City.
At 23 I convinced my boyfriend (now husband) 'lets move to Cancun' after seeing the movie 'Club Paradise' a few too many times.
Cancun was a place that had been very special to me, unlike many of the islands I had visited which were a little too third world to be enjoyable. There was just something about Cancun and perhaps what it is, is that people from all over the world live here, though mostly Mexicans from all parts of Mexico, because immigration is all but impossible, everyone you meet starts with 'how long have you been in Cancun?'
And we have been here as long as many, or longer.
Once we arrived we met people we rented condos from monthly, and quickly learned from them that it was smart to buy here. And it seemed a dream to be able to live here. How could it really be?!
Today we have mostly repeat guests because we know how they want to be treated (I was a concierge at a five diamond hotel and it ingrained in me now how to treat people like celebrities!!) and we know what we expect when WE are on vacation..which we do 5 weeks a year...and it sure is easier coming home now!!!
We have over 150 excellent reviews on the internet for our PERSONAL ATTENTION as we know what you are thinking and what you are looking for ... that can help you a lot.
And our rooms...are the best... because its pretty easy to maintain 10 rooms that we manage...its a pleasure to welcome back friends every year, some have been vacationing here with us for 8 years.

Stayed at the Solymar Condo from Aug 13 -22nd 2009 with wife and three teen-agers. Got three bedroom Condo from Peter and Michelle. Great Ocean View from main room and Lagoon view from other two rooms. Not too many people as it was end of sumer vacation season. Condos very practical with 2 kitchens, one in main bedroom and one in other room. Date of stay August 2009 Visit was for Leisure Traveled with Family with Teenagers Member since September 09, 2009 Would you recommend this hotel to a friend? Yes

Just a note to say that by all means we do supply HOTEL towels, it is beach towels that we do not provide. Half of our guests purchase colorful beach towels at Walmart and half find that a towel is not necessary as the heat of the air dries you so quickly :)

We stayed with my husband for a quick weekend from friday to monday and I didn't want to leave, it is such a pretty boutique hotel compared to the huge buildings, they really notice you and make your stay as pleasant as possible, they have great facilities, cocktails are great and the rooms they all have a view, great food, would recommend to anyone looking for a great, good price stay in Cancun

I stayed in Solymar this June for 14 nights , we booked via ebay because we were looking for a condominium and not a hotel - we know food costs alot in Cancun and so do all inclusives so we wanted a big kitchen suite, sitting room, dining room etc...we love to cook lobster and go out to Puerto Juarez to get it..its worth the trip! We had the most perfect room, exactly like the photos that Michelle send us - two rooms, a penthouse, with a BBQ out back...we did a lot of grilling and enjoyed wonderful sunsets. In the night Michelle set us up with tickets to Senor Frogs and we had an awesome time.Crawling home at 4am to a cozy air condtioned room. Michelle told us that the hotel received a whole lot of money for insurnace, so of course it is taking time to rebuild everything after the strongest hurricane to crash in the caribbean in world history. We got a pretty good deal because of it,where else can you stay caribbean beach front for eighty five dollars a night including taxes? So these other reviews have to think of that for sure. We will be back to Solymar in a few months. We love the caribbean and the view from the room, La Isla mall is great, wonderful restaurants that are not expensive are your nightly entertainment. You just have to ask a few questions and learn where to go, the locals are willing to help
