Location: Port Carling, Lake Joseph, Ontario, Canada

Accommodations:  Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

Our hideaway is located at Stills Bay on beautiful LAKE JOSEPH. It is about 15 minutes from colorful Port Carling. You can dive to the door. The Bass Lake Road House is near by for great food. Club Link has 2 courses 15 minutes away.

We prefer to rent to folks that will book for longer periods of time. Two weeks minimum. Four to six weeks prefered.We have major allergies so no smokers or pets that shed fur.

Our waterfront home has been completely renovated and is like new.We have kept the old beams though. Everything from original art,sheets, matresses, to dishes, beds, leather furniture and 60-inch satellite TV ia also all new, to make for a perfect holiday.

You can sit on the dock or your private deck and read or just watch the boats go by. There is a WORLD CLASS golf course five minutes away, and the Lake Joseph CLUB is 10 minutes by boat.There is nothing you have to bring,other than suntan loation,a good book and some food. ( The Mactier Sobbey's is 7 minutes away next to Tim Hortens)

You will find yourself transported to a world away from the stress of everyday life. Enjoy the lake view as you relax on your deck overlooking the lake or get in the canoe and follow the loons that are in the bay every day. If you bring you boat there is a place to launch the boat right next door at the Lake Joseph Stills Bay Landing Dock. No gas there though.There is great fishing and poles and life jackets are provided. If you have children,it is your responsibility to be sure they are kept safe,wear life jackets all the time and be supervised all the time.

The master bedroom has a Cannonball Bedroom set with a queen bed. Two bedroomsare located on the lower level.One has a new bunk bed. The lower bunk is a Double bed with a nice thick extra cushion mattresses.The upper is a single bed. The second room has a double bed,that can be changed to a bunk if needed.All mattresses are new and fresh.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a family that will look after our modest cottage and keep it like new. It is small home and a great place to relax and unwind. You must be non-smokers and not bring your pets as we have allergies in our family.
We only rent to a very few families each year.

South Side Of Lake Joseph
Stills Bay,our bay, is next to Foots Bay, which has a small store for boaters and Gas For the boats at it's Marina. You can rent a boat there for about 1100 per week and it is 10 minutes away.

To the right of our property, is a retired family and on the left is the boatlanding for the Islanders. They keep their boats there, and so there is usually no one there except briefly on Friday evenings. There is no gas available,so you would have to go over the Foots Bay for your gas.We are just off highway 169 on a fully serviced road.


Our place is a true mid size cottage, and not a large city home. The wood beams on the living room ceiling, the 4 leather sofas and chairs, for reading, the large picture window overlooking the lake, the two bedrooms on the lower level looking out onto the large lawn, the new barbecue and deck set, will all add to a clean, easy going, relaxing holiday in the Muskoka. Those who have stayed in our home have said they had a great holiday.

We charge $125 for the cleaning team to come in and tidy up after you go, and wash the sheets and towells. We prefer, so that we can meet you, that you visit us, there in Muskoka, prior to booking your week. Please call early during the winter for an appointment.

Have a great summer. If you have been to Muskoka before, then you will know why we love Lake Joseph so much.

Thanks for the boat ride. We left this weekend and I don't think we saw 10 people all week. It was real quiet and we docked our large boat next door at the landing, so it was perfect.They are very friendly and helpfull. We visited the Lake Joe Club for lunch and Rocky Crest for dinner ( $50 per person though) we did it all by boat. It was fun. We will try to book earlier next year. If you need a recomendation just have anyone call us. I know you have a gardner, but my husband cut the lawn. It was good excercise.

Hi Dave. It was just great and all that you said it would be.Our children played in the water each day and made sand mudpies.I thought Aug. would be nice and it was. We loved the paddle boat. My husband got to sit in one of the old 30 foot Ditchburn WOODIES that belongned to one of the islanders from next door. It rained one evening and the games you provided were all well used. So a big thanks. We read, slept and made the mistake of only booking a short time. You have a lovely spot there. M Chadsey Toronto.

Mr Smith. Just a quick note to say thanks for a great holiday. We just left,Our son came up with his 3 friends. It was crowded for a couple of days,but fun and many memories. We had the nicest holiday we have had in years. Your place is clean and just so quiet and peaceful. There was no one arround . Our grandchildren loved the canoe,and we fished,swam, went into town by boat to shop and just had a restful time.I cannot think of anything you can improve on. I suppose I could have played better at Woodlands Golf Course across the bay, today, but that is not your problem. If anyone needs a recomendation, have them call us.You are welcome to post this on your site. It really was just perfect.
