Our stay in Dauphin Island was wonderful. The house was perfect for our family; close enough to walk to the beach, but not close enough to the beach that I had to worry about one of my children wondering off to the beach unsupervised. Joy was great. I am new to VRBO. She took the time to explain how everything worked. There were no hidden costs or fees. You will not find a better house on the island for this value.
Recommended for:Pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This is a great value for the money. We had a wonderful time on the Island. The house is very convient to everything and just a short walk to the beach. We took our little dogs. An added bonus is the fenced back yard. The house is high in the trees giving the feel of being in a tree house in the morning drinking our coffee on the covered porch. I stayed 2 weeks. Didn't want to leave and will be back soon.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We rented the cottage in the back to go fishing for the weekend. It was very homey and comfortable. Although it is a 1 bedroom, we brought an air mattress to put on the floor for our 2 kids. The house is less than 1/2 mile walk to the public beach and about 3-4 miles from the boat launch. Very quiet and private! Great place for a very reasonable price! We will definitely be back!

Our family, including our dogs enjoyed our stay immensly. The house was more than accommadating and very comfortable. Though it was not on the beach it was short venture to get to the beautiful beach and was well worth the price of the rental. If you don't mind a short walk to the beach then I would recommend this for anyone wanting to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation.
