The property is situated in a quiet area of the historical centre at walking distance to the main restaurants, handicraft shops and the sight-worthy things of this ancient town. To celebrate some historical occasions processions of participants, sumptuously dressed in antique costumes each representing the different "contrade," and the world-wide famous Siena flag-wavers, pass along this very street.
Restored in 1999 this property, on the 2 floor (third American) is comfortably furnished with antique furniture; it consists on two flats that could be one unique big flat. These two units offer comfortably furnished accommodation at a sensible price. Traditional features including terra-cotta tiles, some old and some new, and beamed ceilings, combined with the extraordinary views and central heating, make these two apartments an attractive and viable option at any time of the year.

The town of Montepulciano with its picturesque lanes is a place which all those who want to get a good memory of the area won’t miss. Tourism has grown over the last years and has brought with it the rediscovery of handicraft and the improvement of trade. Montepulciano has always been the land of very good craftsmen, especially carpenters and blacksmiths, who still work in little workshops along the roads of the town.
You shouldn’t miss a visit to the hidden but equally fascinating cellars where the Nobile wine (of Montepulciano) is kept to age, the first Italian wine to get the DOCG identification mark. Another pleasant surprise at Montepulciano are the local thermal baths, "Terme di Montepulciano" at S.Albino (3 km). The hot springs swimming pools at the day spa that also offers many beauty and health treatments.
As for an option, we provide cooking lessons of the traditional Tuscan Cuisine. The lessons take place in the apartment where you'll be staying, so you have not to waste time in going where generally is the home of a school. The price for each lesson (two to three hours each one) comprehends all the purchases of all the ingredients. And after you have the pleasure to taste the excellence of what you have produced: "Buon appetito!"

My husband and I stayed here with our 18 month old for a week in October 2011. The charming owner met us at the train station and escorted us to the apartment. We stayed in the smaller of the two apartments and it was just as the photos depicted. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay in Montepulciano and this apartment is acurately priced. Negatives: The beds are a little old, the shower is tiny, the ripped shower curtain was taped instead of being replaced and the front door knob kept falling off. There is no internet or phone which makes trip planning a little difficult. Very limited seating in the main area. Positives: The views from every window in the apartment are UNBEATABLE! Amazing, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We often found ourselves just standing at the window gazing at the Tuscan country side. The apartment is charming and rustic with antique furnishings. The building is quiet and even though you face the main street we slept well with very little street noise. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful and easy to get in contact with througout the booking process. Montepulciano is a must see and we wished we could have stayed another week! Rent a car to see more of the country side and neighbouring towns. Our favourite restaurants were A Gambe di Gatto, Ostaria Aquacheta and Cafe Poliziano for breakfast. And we would recommend a wine tour at Tenuta Valdipiatta.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a wonderful week in this apartment. The owner met us with a warm welcome and a bottle of Tuscan wine. It is well set up with everything you could need for a stay away from home, and is situated with wonderful views over the Tuscan landscape. All the attractions of lovely restaurants and wine tastings are within a 10 minute walk, and Montepulciano itself is ideally located to explore Tuscany. We will definitely be back.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
