We recently stayed in this cabin for a sunday school marriage retreat. The cabin had more than enough space for 6 adults. It was very clean and well maintained. The location was perfect and close to all the attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I would definitely stay at the cabin again and I hope to visit soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Ashley, Thank you for writing a review. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with friends. Allen and Margaret, Laureli Lookout

Our Sunday School class had a weekend getaway to Gatlinburg. We stayed in this lovely cabin and couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodation. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the decor is just what you would hope to find in a mountain cabin...complete with antler chandeliers (which my husband was quick to point out and request we have at home :-)). It was a treat to relax in the hot tub on those cool mornings with a nice cup of coffee and just enjoy the surroundings. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay in Gatlinburg. It's only a short drive from the attractions yet far enough away from the commotion and can truly just relax and enjoy that mountain air!Owner response: We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with friends. Thank you for taking the time to share about your stay. We hope you can come back. Allen and Margaret

We really appreciate the spaciousness, cleanliness, and comfort Laureli Lookout offers. We made use of the baby gates for the stairs on our first visit, then by our second trip, our kids were old enough to enjoy the hot tub on the deck with us. We love how our family can spread out but still enjoy the charm and coziness of a private cabin. The location can't be beat. The cabin is close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the National Park, yet still on a mountain in the woods with a sense of peace and privacy. We love Laureli Lookout and look forward to visiting again for a relaxing vacation in the Smokies.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Our family had such a wonderful time at Laurali Lookout! We stayed at the cabin for three days and two nights. My two young kids(4 & 7), myself, my husband, my step daughter, my dad and a friend of his stayed at the cabin. It's very comfortable, very clean, well kept, decorated nicely, entertaining, easily accessible to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub. The kids loved the hot tub! You get the true feeling of being in the mountains away from the hussle and bussle of Pigeon Forge and the main street of Gatlinburg but still around five minutes away from both places. Not to mention the owners who were so pleasant and was in contact with us when we needed to get a hold of them. I can't say thank you enough for allowing us to rent their cabin. Our family trip was truly a memorable one that we will cherish for a long time to come.Owner response: Thank you for the kind words. You were a blessing to work with and it pleases me that you enjoyed your stay. Margaret

Our family decided the last minute to go to Pigeon Forge during spring break. We searched online for cabins and it seemed alot of them were booked. We were about to give up on finding a cabin on short notice, then I received an email from Margaret, stating their cabin was available for the dates we specified. Our prayers were answered!! While on the phone with Margaret she was very polite and professional. She called after we got to the cabin to see if we needed anything. The cabin was clean, well decorated and had everything we needed. It was beautiful at night seeing the lights at a distance. I loved waking up in the mornings in the loft and looking out the window at the mountains in the distance. The grandkids loved the pool table, hot tub and spiral stairwell. Margaret suggested a park where we took the grandkids for a picnic. They loved it, especially wading in the river. When we returned from our adventures and activites during the day,we enjoyed the rocking chairs and swing on the front porch late in the afternoon, Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge are just 5 - 10 mins. from cabin. Thanks Allen and Margaret for sharing your cabin with us!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My wife and I recently stayed in Laureli Lookout as a pre-Christmas vacation. I am soon leaving for recruit training in the United States Marine Corps. we recently got married and because of having to leave, we were not going to be able to share our first Christmas together. the Cabin was perfect for our getaway! whether you are accustom to the city or to the country this cabin is great. tucked away in the mountains up a winding road, you'll find that it is private and secluded for a romantic trip. If you are wanting to stroll around Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, both towns are only 5 to 10 minutes away. I am more of an outdoor enthusiast. My interest lied about 20 minutes away. Newfound Gap has incredible views of the smokey mountains...plus! the Appalachian Trail crosses right threw Newfound Gap. we took a wonderful day hike and had lunch on the Appalachian Trail. the cabin was big enough to sleep 8 people but not too big for just the two of us. the fireplace was the perfect touch to a romantic weekend! I definitely recommend this cabin for lovebirds :) P.S. the owners were great to work with. very professional and truly kind peopleRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Dear Romantic Weekenders, Thank you both for choosing to serve our country. Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice reveiw. We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. Allen and Margaret, Laureli Lookout

This cabin is a little gem! I got a great feeling from the owners, Alan and Margaret, the first time I spoke with them. Such lovely people, they tend to all the little details, call back immediately and are very professional. The cabin is very clean, and a great set up for two families as there are 3 levels. We loved all the extra touches, from the well stocked kitchen to all the mountain decor. My kids loved the bottom floor with a pool table, darts and TV! The bedroom downstairs is super quiet and dark for late sleepers. We loved the wraparound porch, loved hearing the roosters in the morning, and the new hot tub is such a treat! We would definitely recommend this cabin...a great get-away that's close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you can return. Thanks for your kind words and the taking the time to write a reveiw. It was a pleasure to have you as guests. Allen and Margaret, Laureli lookout

About the owner: We are a family of 4 with two young children. Laureli Lookout is our only second home and we consider it our home away from home. We want you to consider it your home away from home when you stay there. Our children were small when we built it, so there are plenty of child friendly features incorporated into the cabin. There are also plenty of hand made/custom crafted features like the spiral staircase, log railing and 100 yr old ceclaimed pine floors. Our goal was to make it cosy and comfortable. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Other Gatlinburg Properties:
Our family of 4 has always loved to go to the mountains. When an opportunity came along to purchase a lot, we decided to make th plunge. We are originally from east Tennessee and meet our families there often.
