My fiance and I stayed at the cabin for the weekend, and we loved it! The construction details are gorgeous, and the convenience to the water and town are great. Best of all, Matt (the owner) was so wonderful in answering questions, working with our schedule and within our budget. We'll definitely stay here again! If you're looking for a totally secluded cabin, this isn't it... but you do have plenty of space to roam without stepping on any neighbors, and despite it's proximity to a popular marina, you're able to enjoy the tranquility of the setting without any problems or distractions.

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Wonderful, Relaxing Retreat

I loved the "cabin", really it's a beautiful house. My son enjoyed the full sized bunk beds immensely. The living area is so spacious and I was able to spread out and do my work I brought with me all the while enjoying the upper screened porch. The cabin is in a nice secluded area and you feel serene enjoying the porch swing or read your Kindle on the upper screened in porch. The house was clean and in great shape. Loved the big windows letting in all the light. I cannot wait to go back when my husband and dog can go. We were there for a wedding and didn't get to enjoy the water, but there was a walking area just below the house to get to a boat you may bring on a stay. The appliances were all top grade and above most rental standards. I can see why this cabin is popular based on that alone. Great gas range grill on the screened porch that I'm already drooling over for steaks when we return to the cabin in the future - probably even this summer! The owner was super helpful with providing all the ino you need to have a comfortable stay. He makes sure his visitors get exactly what the listing represents. I am sure to use this place again, the sooner the better!

Reserving this cabin was the best decision we made all year and was well worth the price. Matt, the owner, consistently went above and beyond to provide us with the best possible customer service. Matt was very accommodating to our requests and made the entire process stress free and enjoyable from the first correspondence to the very last detail of our departure. We are very picky because we know once you're locked in, you're either in for the "best" or the "not so great" vacation experience. Matt is very professional, helpful, and personable. He truly understands the importance of having the perfect spot, accommodations, and amenities to foster the best possible situation for making your family's vacation memories. The photos do not do this cabin and property justice, you will be pleasantly surprised. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked, and well taken care of. The view and the landscape were amazing as well. Cooking out and having meals on the balcony was always a treat. The screen around the balcony kept the bugs from coming in and allowed any smoke from the grill to pass through. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms had plenty of closet space. The location was excellent…not too close to town and not too far from everything you might need. It is within a few minutes drive from the small town of Dadeville where there are several gas stations, restaurants , a bank with ATM, a Grocery Store and several other small town establishments that can provide you with just about anything you need. It is within 30 minutes of major shopping in Auburn and an hour either way between Montgomery and Columbus Georgia. The Lake is absolutely stunning and the walkways leading down to the lake are very sturdy and well maintained. We reserved during the off-season when the Marina wasn't active (no food, cocktails, bands, music nor Karaoke & such) and we couldn't use the dock for our boat because during this time of year the water was very low, but we are, very much, looking forward to being there during the summer when the Marina will be in full swing and the water will be higher in the lake. We highly recommend this location and cabin, as there isn't enough room to list all the things we enjoyed about spending our vacation there. **Thank you for EVERYTHING, Matt. You truly have a slice of heaven on Lake Martin .

My wife and I recent from Matt from September 3rd through September 11, 2011. We came across the property while visiting Home Away and didn't know Matt before hand. He went out of his way to make the stay a great vacation. We were able to dock our boat at his pier the entire week, got up early to fish, and at pizza at Chuck's Maria, which is really a short walk. There is a grill on the back porch, gas, and ready to grill, which we did. The house was clean and well taken care. Matt contacted us during the week to see how things were going so he continued to check in on our visit even after the "sale". We would stay here again and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great location.

Lake Martin "Home Away From Home" Visit

This Lake Martin "Home Away From Home" is beautiful and such a relaxing place to stay. Great location, very clean and comfortable, beautiful furniture. We loved the screened in deck with view of Lake Martin and bottom deck with swing. Loved the kitchen, lots of good cooking took place and the grill on screened in deck was used a lot, too. My little white West Highland Terrier, Benji, just thought he was king sitting on the screened in deck, even though he is blind and could not enjoy the view. I miss Lake Martin so much and cannot wait to go back. This house is an easy location to get to and find. Matt is such a pleasure to work with, very considerate and concerned about your stay at his house. I have already recommended this house to several of my co-workers, friends and family. I hope to be able to visit again next year and would love to stay at this beautiful lake house. Even though I am from the Gulf Coast Area and only 45 min from the beach, I have fallen in love with Lake Martin, it is worth the drive.

Very blessed to have found this property! Pets are welcome too! The map was very easy to follow to the property. Upon our arrival finding the front porch gated was a plus! Our " four legged girls" enjoyed the front porch while we unloaded. The screened in back porch with three fans made for some lazy evenings and some mouth watering BBQ (the grill was awesome)! The bed was very comfortable! The owner of this property goes above and beyond the expatiations of renting a home! Kudo's Matt! The property management office people were very friendly and helpful too! Looking forward to next year! I will be suggesting this home to others!

We had the best time at the cabin. Very clean and had everything you need. Being on the lake was such a bonus. The owner was above and beyond with hospitality. I would recommend this place to everyone. We really enjoyed Christopher. It's a very nice restaurant on the lake. We also rented a ski boat from Fombay and Sons. They were extremly nice and professional. We would 100% come come back and stay at the cabin. Thanks again to the owner and property managers for your kindness.

This cabin is the nicest I have ever rented. The amenities is exactly as advertised and far exceeded our expectations. My family thoroughly enjoyed our saty and will be back. The owner was a pleasure to deal with as well. He was accomodating and worked with us to make sure we had the best experienvce possible.

We enjoyed the cabin both times we went. Like everyone else mentions, the rental is top notch, nice appliances and other amenities. Sitting out on the screened deck looking out at the lake is a wonderful way to start your day. I think one of the nicest things about the house is its location right next to Chuck’s Marina. The guys at the marina are really nice and you can launch your boat there for free, and they will also let you park your boat trailer in their lot if there’s room. The tiny cove it is located in is also really quiet and relaxing, despite being located just behind the marina. The last time we went out there, we spent our last morning just hanging out at the dock floating in the water, never disturbed by a boat or jet-ski roaring by. Like another reviewer mentioned, both Matt and Don are really pleasant to deal with, and do everything to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. And it was a plus that we were able to take our dog Susie with us too...really made it feel like a home away from home!

We just returned from Lake Martin, this was our 1st visit to the lake, the cabin was just as described, it looks like a cabin on the outside but when you get in it’s more than that, the cabin was clean, spacious with modern look and appeal, the view to the lake was spectacular, the owner “Matt” was courteous and the property agent “Don” was friendly and helpful. This was a great vacation and I highly recommend this cabin.

First Trip to Lake Martin

Just returned from great week on the water. This is really a great place to stay. It's new, great furnishings, neat deck to hang out and cookout. Docking boat out back was very convienent, only had to load/unload one time. Chuck's Marina is also great place for food, fun, and fuel. I hope me and my sons have more visits.

Just got back from our weekend at the "cabin" (really, it is a house) and it was great. The house is newer with upgraded tile, kitchen appliances and overall top quality furnishings, hard to find in a vacation home. Flat screen TV with great stereo and Dish Sat. We have rented quite a few vacation homes over the years, this was a great find and plan to rent again soon.

Great place. Very relaxing. Everything so new and clean and great furnishings. Flat screen TV is really nice and I really enjoy having a dock for swimming right there on the property. Also really nice to have a little pub at the marina that is within walking distance. Really a great package and we enjoy it ver much!
