We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The views of Superior from the cabin were amazing. The interior of the cabin is gorgeous as well. We appreciated all of the small touches that made the cabin more welcoming, from the games and DVDs downstairs to the well-equipped kitchen on the main floor. We hope to make a trip up to this cabin an annual, or even semi-annual event.

We stayed at Jerry's home for three nights in August with our kids and it was wonderful. The furniture is very comfortable, both inside and out. We loved climbing on the rocks by Lake Superior, making fires on the beach, and making meals in the beautiful kitchen. We had a terrific stay in this beautiful house and would love to stay there again sometime.

This place is incredible and Jerry has been incredibly accomodating throughout the whole process. Myself and some friends stayed up there as a way to stay in touch now that we are all graduated from college and have limited time to all see eachother now days. This was the perfect spot. I have always loved the Lutsen area and this puts you close to it all while still having the feel of getting away from the twin cities. We loved staying out by the fire and relaxing and a couple of my friends even jumped on in and swam out to a rock a little ways out which was a sight to see. Jerry also has upgraded furniture from what i can tell compared to the other units - The desk furniture is very comfortable and looks a lot nicer compared to next doors units. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, this is it!! You will not be disappointed. Thank you again Jerry for making such a wonderful experience possible!

The rental was all we expected and more. The weather was perfect - four absolutely spectacular days! I woke up this morning and looked out at our little Brainerd lake and felt sad that it was not Lake Superior. My family did lots of hiking up the Baptism, Temperance and Cascade Rivers. We visited Naniboujou and Grand Marais with the "tourists" and took home Sven and Ole's pizzas for one of our family dinners. Our cousins were staying at Sugar Sand Resort and Bluefin Bay so we had several meals together. The young children absolutely loved the rocks and the beach - they fed the gulls and made fires each night......never even requested their electronic video games! The adults appreciated the amenities in the cabin and especially enjoyed being so close to the water. It was a joy to spend an hour or two with a book on the deck! Hope we can rebook again next year!

This is a great cabin - it looks brand new and is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We loved the location and the view of the lake. Jerry was very easy to work with and gave us many tips for things to do and see in the area. The cabin is close to Temperance River State Park, plus there are many trails to hike in the area. The paved bike path (Gitchi-Gami State Trail) can be accessed right from the cabin. About an hour's drive north is High Falls at Grand Portage State Park, which is definitely worth a visit. Would also recommend the pizza at Coho Cafe in Tofte - yum yum!

I've stayed in this lovely home three times now, with my parents and my kids all together, and with my special man all alone. We first stayed here in 2007, so returning in 2011, I was wondering how things might have changed. Things have only gotten better! The owner has stocked the home with anything you might think you need, and very obviously takes pride in this home, touching up the paint and keeping everything bright and shiny. There were even new sofas in the main living room at our latest visit. The shoreline is lovely, near, and safe. I've been here with toddlers, and there are nice areas to sit out on the "rocky beach," as my daughters like to call it. Still plenty of ledgerock for older kids to enjoy, and just a stone's throw from Temperance State Park. It's wonderful to hear the waves crashing and to sit on the porch right on the lake. There really is no reason to go anywhere, as you have the lake right there and the kids can play while the adults relax. The Sugarbush Trail Association keeps the best groomed ski trails I've come across, and our January trip was spectacular with the snow twinkling in the sun like diamonds. Trailheads are just up the road. We look forward to visiting again!

We love this cabin. It is in a great location, in close proximity to hiking, fishing, Grand Marais, nice restaurants, Lutsen mountain. We were there at the end of September. The leaves were changing colors and were very beautiful. We had great views of the leaves from the gondola ride at Lutsen mountain. We stay at this cabin every time we visit the north shore.

We were not prepared for how truly wonderful the house was. Beyond expectation. A five star experience on the beautiful MN North Shore. This fantastic property creates a paradox – to stay inside and enjoy the house or leave and enjoy the endless adventures available!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The only thing that was bad was when it was time to leave. Our family felt like we were at home and had a GREAt time. It was clean and very well taken care of. We will definitely recommend this home to people and can't wait to back again.

Jerry's cabin was better than we expected, the pictures don't do it justice! It was relaxing and beautiful, with an amazing view of Lake Superior. We stayed at Jerry's for 4 nights/5 days while on ski retreat during the coldest stretch of weather within the last 90 years. Although we were there to ski, we were thrilled to have to spend part of our vacation "locked up" in the cabin due to weather. Thank you Jerry for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

We stayed at this lovely log home in August. It was clean, airy and spacious. The master suite bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for meal preparation. We found it easy to feel at home while we were there. There is a great area for bonfires on the beach and many nice hiking trails in the area. The beautiful town of Grand Marais is close by (the fudge at Beth’s Gift & Fudge Shop is some of the best we have found anywhere). Jerry was efficient and very pleasant to work with. We would love to stay at this home again the next time we visit the area.

We truly enjoyed our week in your Lutsen Log Home. The weather was perfect every day we were there. We loved being "right on" the lake. The first night we were there, we slept with the windows open and listened to the waves crashing against the rocks. Your home was beautiful and very well decorated even to the smallest details. The information about the area was very helpful. We ate at some of the places you mentioned and enjoyed visiting many of the areas attractions. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Everyone should experience Lake Superior. It is beautiful and mesmerizing.

Our family of five, including three teenage daughters, stayed in the home for three nights over the July 4th weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful - better than advertised. The decor was comfortable and very updated. We found the place to be very spacious, clean and well stocked. Besides enjoying the beautiful log home, we loved the setting on Lake Superior near so many wonderful state parks. We spent time kayaking on a wilderness lake, hiking along the rivers, visiting Grand Marais and relaxing on the rocks in front of the home. We highly recommend this home to others.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful log home. The location is superb along the North Shore - and the view of the lake from the cabin is spectacular! We really enjoyed walking along the shoreline. The cabin is furnished beautifully, with attention to every detail. Superb towels and linens, and everything was very clean and organized. The stay at Jerry's rental was absolutely marvelous. The whole place was an abundance of relaxation. The crystal clear water was just steps away. The view was amazing from the great room and loft. The master suite bed was the most comfortable bed I ever laid my head to rest in. The luxary and amenities are far beyond anything ever imagined. This was far beyond an A+ stay. It was quiet and tranquil. Grand Marais is just a short scenic drive up the road with plenty of things to do in the area. I suggest taking a trip on the Hjordis, a Schooner sailboat, Its worth the experience. Excellent food nearby at the Satellite Inn and in Grand Marias if your in the town. The Hospitality and kindness of the area's populous is astounding. Jerry was an excellent host and kind person to deal with. The experience will last a lifetime. HIGHLY Suggest it.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful log home. The photos on the website don't really do it justice! It was even better than we expected. The accommodations were beyond spectacular and everything we needed was provided. We felt absolutely pampered! It is situated right on the lake and the location is perfect -- close to the areas that we enjoy for hiking and golfing. We'll definitely go back to enjoy another relaxing vacation experience.
