Sunroom with deck, 3 sliders, and ceiling fan; new kitchen; pergo type floors floors and completely renovated interior. Private, professionally decorated, with generous tile shower. Swimming, boating, and fishing. Cool, lake effect, upstate NY nights. AC. Summer house with main house availability for special occasions. Great area for golf. Historic thoroughbred race track. East side of Lake just above Snake Hill....
Among the most famous and best thoroughbred tracks in the country. Much history with the turning point of the American Revolution nearby and historical sights and events. Philiadelphia Philharmonic and New York City Ballet visit during the summer. Numerous other headlining performances at the Outdoor Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Lake George Opera Chamber Music. Various dance camp opportunities. Numerous art shows. Many public music events. Great scienic downtown (Old Victorian) with a great open park in center Good jazz and restaurants abound. Skidmore and Empire State College with related events. A great jazz festival and a really good country music festival. Many good golf courses and we are at the lake too. We are not in a group camp; only 2 houses on property. One is our private home which rents only occasionally.

The Saratoga area of NY is my favorite place to be and had a great time. This cottage was exactly as described. The cottage set far enough back from the main house to be considered private. The owners worked hard to keep things maintained and clean, even after the area had unexpected rain showers that added 8" to the lake. The lake was beautiful. The Blumes were always working on something...just shows that they care about their property, I enjoyed meeting Betty and Bill and know that next time I travel to the area, I will be plan on staying there.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent a few very nice days in a little Cottage on Saratoga Lake in upstate NY this past summer. We had all the essentials to make the time enjoyable and comfortable. The lake was just across the road. Saratoga Race Track was 15 minutes away. The area was lovely and peaceful. It was a very nice experience. We usually spend time in the Saratoga area every summer, but we had stayed at hotels and motels. Staying in the cottage was much nicer and it was just as convenient to all the sites and attractions in the area.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great time at the cottage. Its a great place and we have friends interested in renting it at some point. Wish we had the weather that was there Sunday! We found the trash out back and took it out, turned back the thermostats, shut the bedroom doors, cleaned the coffee grounds out, and left the key where we found it. We could not stay there. We paid for 4 nights and stayed maybe 15-20 mins. We did not get a dime back. Not cleaned up and ready for rental people. Bed was unmade. Left a fitted sheet with a coverlet on top of one of the beds. Table dirty, microwave dirty, floors not swept, water smelled like rotten eggs. Not suitableOwner response: They started non stop complaining as soon as stepped out of car. Don't know why, but all had been hand washed and dried with a towel (we have pergo type floors). Glass top stove was even spotless. All was immaculate and I taught Home Ec. We have a water treatment system to prevent foul water. Their complaints were so ridiculous, that they lost absolutely any remotely possible credibility when they e mailed me with their complaints. This is a 5 room cottage, not a large home. We are told the beds are quite comfortable, its cute and cosy with a lovely yard.
