This penthouse 2-bedroom/2 bath apartment has been newly renovated with many improvements and amenities. It is a corner unit, with a spectacular view of the marina, train bridge and river,and a small balcony with table and chairs.
Living room is both comfortable and elegant, with a working gas fireplace. There is a table for two by the window, and an elegant dining table for six. Flat screen TV in both living room and master bedroom. One bath has tub, the other a tiled shower. Washer/dryer in the unit. Ample and well-designed closets, dressing room, and second bedroom. Skylights in the kitchen and bathrooms.
The condo is fully equipped with linens, towels, paper supplies and even some snacks and sodas in the fridge to welcome you. The spacious kitchen has new appliances including dishwasher, refrigerator, gas range/oven. It is equipped with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. There is a microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
The unit has designated indoor garage parking, and there is a fitness room in the building. This is a smoke-free and pet-free home. Smoking is permitted outdoors on the terrace.
During the summer season, the condo is available for a minimum of 2 weeks. During the rest of the year, it is available monthly.
NOTE: Because the apartment contains many of our books and some artwork and valuable furniture, a security deposit and references are required.
LOCATION:
The condo is in downtown New London, on historic Bank Street, with restaurants, cafes, boutiques and a farmer’s market all within two blocks. Across the cove is "Captain Scott’s" lobster market, and the condo comes with a kayak to row over for a fresh seafood lunch on the docks.
Downtown New London is an arts lovers haven with galleries, artist colonies, live music, theatre and performing arts. AMTRAK is within walking distance, as is the ferry terminal with service to Block Island.
Summer at the Connecticut shore is beautiful. One of the high points of summer in New London is Sailfest - a celebration of ships and the sea in early July, with its huge fireworks display over a harbor absolutely alive with colorful boats and visitors. Watch from the balcony, or walk a few blocks to join the celebration crowd.
