Rancho Santana is a gated community which boasts three soft sand beaches. Playa Rosada, Playa Dorada, and my favorite, Playa Escondida. Each is pristine, and practically vacant.
Each time we visit, we feel we're on our own private beaches.
Rancho Santana offers absolute privacy, safety and exclusivity, plus many amenities and activities to fill your days.
There are two pools, a full-service restaurant with wonderful and affordable breakfasts, lunch, or dinner. There is also a pool bar which serves the full restaurant menu or smaller meals and appetizers to enjoy with a cerveza or two.
The sunset is the most enjoyable part of the day, though. The beauty cannot be described.
Our casita is fully functional, the only thing you need is a towel for the beach. It is nestled amongst 17 other casitas, but offers it's own privacy and is the closest to the club house. There is daily maid service and gardeners on the grounds throughout the day. There is also laundry service, if needed. Just ask the maid.
There are tennis courts, horse stables, a basketball court, canoeing and mountain biking.
My favorite thing is the beach and the beautiful rocks in front of the restaurant which fill with water at high tide. After the water recedes, I take the kids down to play in the small pools. We find fish and shells and rocks. Then we walk up for a Fanta, a cerveza for me.
