Location: Glen Ellen, Sonoma County, Wine Country, California, USA
Accommodations: Condominium, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Take advantage of a unique opportunity to experience a bit of the history of Glen Ellen, in an au courant, luxurious environment. These 6 condominiums each with 3 bedroom, 2 bath in the historic and lovingly restored Hotel Chauvet in downtown Glen Ellen offers every amenity in a remarkable location.
Hotel Chauvet was originally built in 1906 and celebrated its centennial with a spectacular restoration and renovation, painstakingly accomplished over two years.
The result is an historic landmark building with six luxurious condominiums, rejuvenated with locally made brick and reappointed by craftsmen, while upscale interior and state-of-the art amenities have been added.
Each unit is generously sized at almost 2,000 square feet. The large master bedroom includes a huge walk-in closet.
The other two bedrooms are spacious as well, and one doubles as a den. The bathrooms boast designer fixtures, whirlpool tubs and separate, glass enclosed showers.
The kitchen would please any gourmet, and is outfitted with custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, wine cooler and commercial-style gas cook-top, among other delights.
Of course, if you don’t want to cook for yourself, you are just steps away from Glen Ellen’s "restaurant row" with a myriad of delicious choices and a tasting room, or walk across the street to Glen Ellen’s own gourmet market. A brief walk south brings you to Jack London Village with the local cheesemonger, chocolate shop (made on site), olive press and market, fantastic deli, market of locally produced gourmet items and another tasting room.
Add to this vision the lovely outdoor, heated pool with sundeck patio, accessible from your own wide balcony off the master bedroom, and the views of the surrounding hillsides and native oak trees from every large picture window framed by brick arches.
You will be more than comfortable at The Chauvet at any time of year, with energy efficient air conditioning and heating, a gas fireplace, full soundproofing, elevator access and private garage.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit. The Chauvet Condo was superb. The location was great. We enjoyed the walks to the Jack London Park each day, the fantastic market across the street and the close proximity to so many fun things.

"My extended family and I rented tow condos in The Chauvet for a weekend in June. We are a multi-age, multi interest group: 7 to 75, some TV/movie watchers, some sports nuts, some readers who like quiet spaces, some couch potaotes and some swimmers/sunbather. Every one of us was comfortable and had our needs met. The amenities in the two condos we rented were outstanding. And the owners' thoughtfulness in providing clear, specific instrucations for everything was greatly appreciated. We're all looking forward to an opportunity to do it all over again.

"Our five night stay at the Chauvet condo was delightfully relaxing. We found this vacation rental to be nothing short of the finest luxury, profound comfort, and much appreciated convenience to dining, wine touring and shopping. We highly recommend a stay at Chauvet!"
