This is a wonderful waterfront get-away. Sit on the deck and let the world go by or stroll to the marina for a great meal. Lake Malone is one of the best kept secrets around! The scenery is beautiful, the fishing is great. The state park is just down the lake by boat. Bait and a boat launch are very close by at the Shady Cliff Marina-not to mention the delicious fried catfish. Owner is a licensed Washington State Real Estate agent.

Had a great time. This is not the fanciest place in the world. If it was, the price would be double what is charged. If you think fishing cabin instead of 5 star hotel you will be pleased. Dock needed some work and the deck needed cleaning, but very nice view, right on the water and all the basics you need. Great place to get away and play on the water. Beautiful lake. Sort of isolated area, so make sure you do all your food shopping before you come or eat out.

Our party (4 adult women, no pets) were at this cabin immediately following the below review (checked in 07/10). No, its not the Four Seasons, but we had a great time and certainly didn't feel the need to run away....we're Kentuckians, so maybe just had a better handle on what a $125/night cabin in the country would be like. This is a cabin on a lake and the price was much, much less than anything close to its size and right on the water. There were cobwebs on the deck railing, some of the deck furniture needed to be replaced, and the recent high waters had made the dock a little precarious; however, we found the cabin to be clean, stocked with all the pots and pans we could need, the bedrooms (particularly the one upstairs) was really nice, and the marina (good restraurant) was within paddling distance (maybe a 5 minute walk). I would recommend it and have recommended it to other friends.

My family and I rented this place to unwind after a family reunion. The owner had made comment about the carpet needing to be replaced & I certainly agree! The carpet was very dirty and the cabin was generally neglected. This place needs a MAJOR cleaning! There was a severe ant problem on the deck, broken furniture and misc. stuff around the perimeter. After my husband said he had a tick on him from outside we checked our dog and discovered fleas! We had her groomed very short for our trip and had been checking her regularly. I contacted my sister because her dog stayed with ours at the previous rental property(w/ hardwood floors!). Their dog was fine. After speaking to the owner while we were re-packing all of our items she said she would refund our money. One week later our check was returned (minus the deposit). There was no note included and no further communication from her. Communication all along was not great! We never received a receipt for for our deposit and no info about when the remaining monies were due, etc. In our haste to get out of this place we left our tackle box on the back deck. So this "vacation" cost my family a lot of money, upset, lost time and distress!

We rented this cabin for our annual girl's weekend out. We had a great time. It was a very nice place to stay. It was very clean and neat. The owner was a very nice lady. I talked to her twice and she was very helpful with all of my questions. We already plan to come back next year!! We would totally recommend this cabin.
