Watch the otters, 25 yards/meters away at high tide thru the living room windows... plus watch the seals, whales, and pelicans too if they are there. "Otter Outlook" is just a three block walk to the Pier either via beach access from the house itself or via beach access stairway four lots North or one lot South.
This 2BR and loft /1.5BA vacation rental has a fully furnished kitchen in a dramatic four level one-side-of-a-duplex residence. There is a master bedroom/master bath (with shower and separate bathtub), and an upper dormer bedroom for the kids or noisy Uncle Albert, with its own half bath (toilet and sink) next to the "preferred full moon location" of the loft, high above it all.
You'll find that the "Otter Outlook" has arguably one of the best views of the Central Coast: Morro Bay and Rock to the South, and Cayucos with its Pier to the North, and your family having a great time right down on the beach in front - can all be seen thru the living room window.
Cayucos is a great central California vacation location! Hearst Castle and Cambria are right up the road... Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, and points South are all right down the road.

probably the best ocean view in the County, beach access via a trail under the house (it's built up on pillars) & then skinnying down easy rocks in front of house. Due West of the Sea Shanty restaurant - great location & easy walk to "downtown " Cayucos.

Fabulous Stay....Everything we needed - except for one more week!

From the first contact with the owner, Bob, to our check in with the domestic engineers, we cannot say enough about Otter Outlook. And believe me, Otter Outlook is an appropriate name as we watched an otter daily at the rocks right in front of the house. This beach house is very comfortable. Has all the amenities in the kitchen you could possibly need. Absolutely beautiful view to the north OR south to Morro Rock. We simply fell in love with the small, quaint community of Cayucos - from the friendly people at the little grocery store to the bartender at the historic saloon, to the great Catholic church for mass on Sunday. The kids were NEVER bored and it's been a long time since the TV took a second place to the activities of Cayucos -- a much appreciated change. This is a simple beach house -- not a place you have to worry about something getting harmed. It's obvious that this place is loved by its' owner. My family is all about simple & comfortable....not the type of people who have to be in a "ritz" setting. It was also very clean when we arrived. Full of personality, and a little funky! A real plus was being able to take our small dogs -- and Cayucos is the most dog-friendly beach I've ever seen. There were many wet suits for the kids to use - which was good as the temp was cooler than we are used to. Also a washer and dryer was a plus as I can't seem to go two days without having to do a load of laundry with three kids. So, thank you so much Bob -- we loved your place! Thank you for all your hospitality and the use of Otter Outlook!! We hope to return next year. Eileen
