Hurricane Ike has caused significant damage to the neighborhood. Luckily, Southern Comfort faired well with damage mainly limited to the area below the house. We have replaced the garage and the outdoor shower. There was some damage to the kitchen floor, so we went ahead and replaced the kitchen floor and the countertops, so the pictures shown are a bit outdated.
Come experience Southern Comfort's incredible views and relax to the sound of the surf. Enjoy the views from nearly every room in the house. Hang out on the main deck (with sun in the morning, shade in the afternoon), or the side deck (shade in the morning, sun in the afternoon).
Prefer the beach? You are just a short walk away. When you are finished with the beach, clean up in the outdoor hot/cold shower.
Enjoy your privacy? Southern Comfort is located between a private cul-de-sac to the West and an open lot extending to the beach to the East.
The newly refurbished decks will provide parents a piece of mind, with a latching gate at the top of the stairs and closely placed balusters to avoid injury.
We have spent to past two years updating Southern Comfort to make it as enjoyable as possible. With new furniture in the family room, new carpet and window coverings throughout, updated fixtures and bathrooms, new roof and new exterior paint, this beach house is truly our pride and joy.
