We usually never sleep good in someone else's bed, especially the first night. But this home was the exception! ALL the beds were extremely comfortable! We slept great EVERY night!! The linens were excellent quality also. The stairs were nice & wide & well lit for us older folks!! We truly had everything we needed for a relaxing get away! On top of that the scenery was gorgeous!!

We had the most relaxing weekend in Lake Lure and mostly because of this beautiful home. It's well maintained and has cozy large bedrooms with the most comfortable linens. We enjoyed the pool table in the evenings and honestly we could have just had a great time in Lake Lure if we never left the house. It has a great kitchen for cooking and great views. And the icing on the cake was a guest past to Rumbling Bald resort that has so much to do but we decided just to lay by the pool and float in the lazy river. The house impressed our out of town friends and was the perfect setting for the weekend. We will definitely be back to this house.

Lovely home. Very nicely appointed. Plenty of room for our five adults and two dogs. Close proximity to area recreational attractions, restaurants, grocery store. Only aside comment, keeping in mind this is a summer review, the mountain view was not as shown in the photo. However, we had a closer view upon hiking it ! The owner was very responsive to all inquiries. The home was perfect upon our arrival. We would be delighted to stay here again without hesitation. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

There is nothing negative I can say about this rental. The place was great! It was so clean when we arrived, I was almost affraid to touch anything. Every detail you can imagine was tought of and provided. Plenty of space for everyone. I look forward to bring two other couples next year. Thanks again Jenny!
Owner response:Thanks so much Wes for taking your time to enter this much appreciated comment on the house. Look forward to hearing from you again! Take care, Jenny

We stayed here for a glorious weekend. The location of the house is quiet and convenient. The house itself is fairly new, well-laid-out, and well-equipped. The furniture, linens, kitchen items were all good quality -- it felt like we were staying in a nice home instead of a rental property. The owner was responsive and accommodating. We will definitely try to come back again!

What a beautiful, comfortable home and it had everything our family needed. It was a pleasant surprise to find two licensed kayak available for our use. The kids loved the game room and the adults appreciated the quiet, private setting. What sets this home apart from all others is access to Rumbling Bald Resort. We just fell in love with Lake Lure and our entire family is ready to book again for next year. This was one of the best family vacations we have ever had. Thank you Jenny and Rich for giving us the opportunity to make lasting family memories.

We stayed in this house for 4 nights in May. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of Chimney Rock from the patio. The location was very convenient to the town of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. We also took day trips to Asheville and to DuPont State Forest. Will definitely stay here again!

My parents' joined our family of four for a wonderful 4th of July gathering in this great log home. We made full use of all the amenities - loved kayaking in the quiet cove, fishing was fun for the kids and we all got better at billiards. We were suprised at how quiet the road was on our walks to the lake. We found ourselves so happy at this home we didn't take advantage of the passes for Rumbling Bald -- and yet that access was a reason we rented the house.

We have visted Lake Lure three times in 2007 and each time rented this lovely home. It has a feeling of "home" and you will feel quite comfortable staying here. No need to repeat what the others have said, it is all true!

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin. It was convenient to all the major shopping attractions, with it being less than an hour away from Asheville, Black Mountain, and Hendersonville. The home has everything you could want for a vacation home. The TV's, DVD library, and the pool table were wonderful. The view was beautiful, and the home very easy to find. We wish to thank the owners for making the reservation process easy and letting us and our little Shih Tzu vacation in their home. We hope to return in the future.

Thanks so much for allowing us the privilege of staying in your beautiful cabin. You have it decorated wonderfully. (The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in!) We really enjoyed visiting Chimney Rock-the view is spectacular. We also enjoyed going horseback riding and kayaking on Lake Lure (although the wind was strong one day!) The pontoon boat tour was fun and slow-paced too. One could get used to the pace and scenery in the mountains! Thanks again.

We loved this home! It was the perfect size for our family of five. Great ammenities and nicely decorated... everything was brand new and super clean. Comfy and inviting beds. Beautiful patio with a great view of Chimney Rock. Access to a private dock for swimming and kayaking in Lake Lure... a nice 10 minute walk from the house. Our kids loved the pool table and dart board! Close to downtown Lake Lure and Chimney Rock State Park. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. We plan to return!
Owner response:PRIVATE DOCK W/ LAKE ACCESS NOT AVAILABLE.

We enjoyed our trip to Lake Lure and found the house to be well appointed. It was in a quiet surrounding with a short walk to the lake. We would stay in the house again if returning. We were there in July so there was no need to use the fireplace, but it would be a great feature during cold weather. Thanks to Jenny for allowing us to stay in her beautiful home! Julie and John
