Our charming 3 bedroom Night Heron cottage is only 350 yards to the beach access. It is also directly across from the 21 acre Night Heron Park which includes the nature center, Kamp Kiawah, playing fields for soccer or football, volleyball court, lighted basketball court, and a large sandy play ground for young children. During the summer, there is frequently entertainment with family events and activities in the park.
Our cottage is comfortable with the living room positioned centrally between all three bedrooms and screened in back porch. The rooms are freshly painted. The living room has a large flat panel 40" TV with DVD/VCR and there is a TV with cable in the master bedroom. A selection of videos and a Nintendo 64 with selected games are available. There is wireless broadband internet provided throughout the cottage. There is a front deck great for welcoming visitors and rear deck perfect for relaxing, with a tropical wooded view, that is accessible from the master bedroom and screened porch.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed & private bath. The front and back bedrooms both have twin beds and share a bathroom. The kitchen with tile floor has generous supplies for cooking. Unlike villas and condos, there is covered parking beneath the unit with ample room for three cars. We provide a list of amenity phone numbers including restaurants, shopping and golf courses to help you plan your vacation. Bike and beach chair rental is available. There are 5 golf courses on the island and 1 located immediately off of the island available for your play. Enjoy the brand-new, Freshfields Village, shopping area located two miles from the security gate for your grocery, dining and entertainment needs. The comfortable feel of the cottage will make you feel at home. The close access to both the beach and night heron park activities is a bonus. Bike paths and jogging trails are abundant.
The new 5-Star hotel, The Sanctuary, is just a 5 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride away giving you access to the island's fabulous golf courses, a luxurious spa, world class tennis facility, 2 incredible restaurants (don't miss the Jasmine Porch's Sunday Champagne Brunch!)and an ice cream parlor.

Kiawah is the perfect family getaway. Its a gated island so there is no traffic or crowds. You are free to bike and walk the miles trails and beaches of the island in often near solitude! It is one of the most beautiful spots on the east coast and one of the best kept secrets!

Its right in the heart of Night heron Park which makes it ideal for families with kids. The beach is a short walk away along with a soccer field and volleyball and basketball courts. The Kiawah Island Resort hosts family events almost nightly during the summer months which is a lot of fun!

My wife, two kids and parents six total stayed for two weeks! The cottage is just as represented and what you would expect for Kiawah, clean well equiped and very comfortable. The location if perfect for the whole family. The park is close enough for the kids to walk or ride bikes and the beach is a 3 min. bike ride. At the beach there is a very nice beach access plenty of room to park bikes, the shower on the boardwalk is perfect for rinsing everything off and there is even a very nice bathroom which most beach accesses don't have. This is a very convenient beach access so close to the cottage. The Island has plenty of things to do. The Sanctuary is beautiful and it is about a 5 min. bike ride. There are shops and a cafe at East Beach Village which is also close about 10 min. on bikes going nice and easy through the live oaks. The park is big and has basketball courts, soccer fields and a place to rent bikes although I would recommend Aligator Bike they will deliver the bikes to your cottage and they will be waiting for you when you get there. Bikes are a must on Kiawah there are bike paths everywhere. With this cottage since you are renting directly from the owner you get a property owner guest pass for the car which will get you through the second gate so you can go anywhere on the island. We love to drive up to the Ocean Course- we put our bikes on the car carrier, park and use the beach access where we love to fish and look for shells or ride up to the very end of the island. There are not many people at that end of the island you can see Bald Eagles, Osprey, Dolphins feeding you never know, one time we saw a huge Sea Turtle. Kiawah is very beautiful!!! I would highly recommend this cottage as it has much to offer all at a very competitive rate. Your family can stay two weeks for what you can rent the cottage next door for one week. The owner lives nearby and is very helpful. We had an issue with the TV. I called the owner and he bought a new TV brought it to the cottage and installed it the next day while we were at the beach. You can't ask for more than that.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Kiawah Island. We were sad when we had to leave. The beach was great, peaceful, and not too crowded. Even walking and biking outside had its charm.We had a very nice cottage to rest in and enjoy family time at the end of the day. Plus, we got the chance to see some gators.

My husband and our 2 children (1.5 yrs and 3 yrs old) just stayed at this beautiful cottage. This place is great! Perfect location to the beach, the bike rental place and the shops at Kiawah. We rented bicycles and a bicycle buggy for our kids and nothing was further than a 5 minute bike ride from the cottage. We enjoyed the beach and the pool and at night we cooked in the well equipped cottage kitchen. The cottage is decorated very nicely and we felt very comfortable being there with 2 small children. The beds are great and there are new bedspreads on every bed. The carpet looked new and there is a brand new couch in the living room. There is a flat screen TV in the living area and a TV in the Master bedroom. Again, this cottage is a great place if you want to stay on Kiawah (especially with children) and not spend triple the amount for a beachside cottage. We will definitely return!

My family had a fabulous week at your cottage! I have an 11 year old girl and 9 and 13 year old boys who couldn't have had more fun. The sport fields across the street, beach and bike trails all around the island gave them so many fun things to do. The cottage was so convenient and served as the perfect home base for everyone to come back for lunch and dinner and to have great family time. We can't wait to visit again this summer! JB
