From the custom stonework entry, a spacious dining-living area overlooks the separate great room, with stone fireplace and 16 foot celings. Blue ridge views begin at the entrance. Great room contains leather seating on oriental carpet by the fireplace, billiards table with TV, and cozy reading area.
Antiques and new furnishings create a rustic elegance throughout this log style home. New slate/wood dining room table seats up to 10, and is adjacent to another leather seating area for TV viewing. Full eat-in kitchen features 2 antique tables with seating for 12. A bay window with office desk offers more views of surrounding nature. Custom tongue-in-groove walls and ceilings in master bedroom match that of living areas. All 3 bedrooms in main house enjoy their own baths with all new fixtures, and satellite TV's.
New guest quarters are attached to the main house by a covered breezeway. Accomodates 5 people with 1 King, 2 twins and a convertable couch. A full bath, kitchenette, dining area and TV room are perfect for a little more privacy from the rest of the house. Rent the main house only (sleeps 8) or for larger parties, add the guest house (sleeps 5) for just a little bit more money.

- Nestled amidst the Nantahala National Forest, Sylva is known for it's charming Main Street, excellent restaurants and great shopping. Biking, hiking and waterfall trails take you atop Pinnacle Park for an awesome view of town from 5,000 feet. Within a short 30 minutes, visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, raft or kayak the Nantahala River, hike or camp on the Appalachian Trail, visit historic Cherokee, trout fish and raft on the Tuckasegee River and snow ski, tube or horseback ride at the Cataloochee Ranch atop fun-filled Maggie Valley. Cashiers and Lake Toxaway are also beautiful nearby destinations. And, if you are a hunter, there is plenty of that, too. Within 45 minutes, you can explore the wonders of Ashville, including the historic Biltmore Estate, a must see while in the area. No credit cards accepted. $500 security deposit.
