A family Retreat for a century and more. We have gone to great lengths to present to you a very clean and comfortable stay.
Along with the sleeping of 6 people in comfortable beds, there is a fold out couch which is in the dining room and can sleep two more (with privacy) and then there is plenty of room outside for kids to sleep in back down by the waterfall camping style, Very unique and fun to do.
So, you could actually get 10 or so comfortably and have a lot of fun.Max guests for over night stays is 12. Max people for gatherings is 20 unless prior consent from owner.
The pictures we have assembled thru out the house are all actual photos of our original family on and around the property in Ben Lomond and lots of Santa Cruz pics and post cards postmarked as early as 1904. Back then it was how they communicated with family and friends(no phones).
Many thanks to our ancestors for keeping all of our family keepsakes well in tact for all of us to enjoy. We are proud to display our family's Ben Lomond and Santa Cruz past.

  • No Pets Allowed: Sorry we tried and the first two people with pets left signs of thier animals on the new carpet, so we will not allow pets from now on, we do love animals :)

There are two large state redwood parks each in a 10-15 min drive (Big Basin & Henry Cowell)with camping,also there is Roaring Camp Railroad( an authentic antique steam engine railroad) just 10 min. in Felton with either a short run up the mountain or a trip right to the beach boardwalk for a day trip (highly recommended)and then there is the mystery spot in 15 min. to defy all gravity and your natural senses,a fun trip for both adults and kids We have supplied lots of brochures and menu's from the area for you to enjoy while you stay here in our home.     What an awsome place this was for our annual family vacation. Everything we wanted to do was never more than a 45 minute drive away. It was great to come back from our day's adventures to a place we could truly call home for a week. The kid's ( okay the adults too) loved making smores over the fire pit by the creek at night.   • OMGosh this house was fantastic, our daughter got married at Highlands Park and my son and grandsons and sister stayed with us and the house was perfect, very relaxing and comfortable, we had a brunch the day after the wedding and everyone that came to the house thought it was fantastic, we have some great memories and thanks so much for providing us a wonderful place to make those memories.   • Our family experienced some unforseen emergencies that impacted our plans to enjoy Rich Reilly's vacation rental. The sole "silver lining" to this dark cloud was learning that Rich was a true gentleman of the highest caliber and reputation. Frankly, I cannot speak too highly about the manner and decorum in which he conducted himself as he stood by us and assisted us during our difficulties. Rich exhibited himself to be a caring and honest individual and businessman. It was indeed my great pleasure to have met such a caring,considerate and personable property owner.   • We had a wonderful long weekend with our children and grandchildren in this fantastic home, it was everything we had hoped for and more. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful, an ideal place to relax and visit. Everything we could have possibly needed was provided for us. Making the arrangements for our stay went smoothly from the first contact with Rich to the email from him (on the Monday morning of our return home) letting us know that our deposit refund check was in the mail. We loved to watch the fireplace crackle and burn. Thanks for a beautiful weekend.... B.G. Lindley added, Staying with my boyfriend , his parents, as well as my parents was an unforgettable experience. I only get to see my mom every couple of months during breaks in school, so this was a great place for us to bond and reconnect. We did not want to leave.   • We had a great time. Lots to do in the area. The kids had a blast playing by the waterfall, climbing in the tree in the driveway, playing the organ and watching DVDs. Everything we needed was available and there was plenty of room in the house. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

  • What a wonderful, relaxing place to stay! The house was very comfortable and the views from the dining room and master bedroom are so peaceful - as were the deer we saw during every meal. We cannot wait to come back!
