  We celebrated my parent's 60th anniversary. 19 of us stayed at the house. The kitchen is perfect for large party, as well as the dining and great room. We were all able to be together in those rooms. There are 4 bedrooms, but other rooms with lots of twin beds, including a room of bunk beds for kids. It was a nice place for a big group. Very well stocked with games, movies, kitchen equipment, bbq, hot tub, full laundry room, etc. We lacked for nothing. We also enjoyed the window seat in the dining room watching the mudhens in the lake and the golfers on the 9 hole golf course. Careful parking out front as golfers often miss the fairway.

  Twenty-one family members (age 3 to 80) spent the weekend celebrating our parents' 80th birthdays and 60th anniversary. The house was ideal for us: the kitchen accommodated all our family cooks, the dining room had seating for everyone, there was plenty of tableware and cooking tools and the dishwasher made clean-up quick. The teens enjoyed the spa and took advantage of the well-stocked game closet and video games. The living room was big enough (with kids sprawled on the floor) to gather for our slide show and family sharing time. The discount the owners offered for our last-minute request brought the cost within our budget. Thanks for a great place to celebrate with those we love.

  That was a great place to have a study camp. The house has an awesome panaromic view.

  Finding the perfect spot for a big family on vacation can be a chore, but luckily we saw the website for ‘Villa Antonio’, describing just the place we were looking for. We went on to book the villa and loved everything it had to offer. We comfortably slept 20! The owner was so accommodating and recommended several great restaurants in the area. Be sure to go to the farmer's market on Thursday nights if you get the chance! We will be definitely be back soon.

  I’d come up with some incredible anniversary surprises in my time and had kind of painted myself into a corner… What could I pull out of the hat now to out-do myself??? Nearly had a meltdown until I discovered Anthony’s Villa, and put together a great anni weekend party for my honey. With ten of our family and best friends! I’ll never forget the look on Susan’s face when we pulled up in front of the Villa. She’d totally bought my story about just having a romantic dinner at our favorite central coast restaurant. The house was absolutely gorgeous, everything we could ever want or need. The huge size allowed everybody to be together inside or out --- kitchen, dining room, ocean view decks, even the jumbo size Jacuzzi --- so all of us could all celebrate our 43 years. We laughed the whole time and it was great. See you again for our golden 50th!

  The Villa provided a wonderful location for our family reunion. We were a short drive from many popular Central Coast locations and the Villa is located in a safe and peaceful neighborhood. The sunroom was perfect for the kids and gave them a camp out feel. There was plenty of cooking and dining space.

  Do yourself a favor -- and ensure that you read ALL of the reviews posted about this villa (You can group by star ratings, not just by dates) -- and realize as well that many of the "reviews" are posted by the owner personally as supposedly entered in the guest book at the home. (Yes, there was a guest book on the kitchen counter. Yes, there were positive comments inside. In addition -- there were many individual pages ripped out of the guest book. I'll leave that to my fellow travelers to surmise why those pages are gone.) Suffice it to say, the owner will defend his home upon seeing my review. So here goes pal: > Upon arrival the 1st evening -- refrigerator in kitchen was inoperative. 3 hours after calling management, handyman showed up and determined most of the kitchen's outlets weren't working because of blown fuse breakers. The fix? Extension cords were set up and snaked their way to the patio. Yep, such a safe and delightful solution. > Villa hasn't had a decent cleaning since the Bush presidency, I am guessing. Carpets were soiled and disgusting. Tablecloths were covered with crumbs and grease. Dishwasher made awful noises because of chunks of broken glass at the bottom. Coffee tables in living room had such thick coatings of dust on them, one could take their finger and trace out "Wash Me," like we used to do as kids. Bath-tub in master bedroom can't be used as a bath-tub, because of warnings posted in the shower (on pieces of paper with markers and tape, no less) that water will pool and leak downstairs. > Hot tub was full of slime and sludge, and was 52-degrees to boot upon arrival. > On the owner's planet, multiple stacks of bunk beds in a screened patio count as some form of bedroom. > And finally, the reference to strangers entering the property... on departure day, besides some unsmiling man banging on the door at 10AM sharp to start carting away bedding, a few minutes later I came upon 2 other unidentified men wandering around the 1st floor of the home, also part of the cleaning group. What makes this unusually scary and unacceptable, this pair entered unannounced through the downstairs garage entrance, and left both the garage door and the door going into the home open. Their rickety old pick-up was parked across the street. We had a baby and a 10-year old with us on our trip. Packed suitcases were downstairs too. So lovely to have strangers in the home without our knowledge. Insanity indeed.

  Owner response: If all the complaints listed above were true, we wouldn’t have stayed in business for six minutes, let alone six years! Moreover, anyone who accuses an owner of forging favorable reviews without offering one shred of objective proof is committing libel, which is a serious and punishable offense. Admittedly, it’s nearly impossible to account for torn pages from the guest book as our housekeeping staff has much more immediate priorities than thumbing through it daily. However, such things as children using it as a coloring book have occurred, with later discovery that embarrassed parents quietly excised the artwork… Whenever an appliance malfunctions, Villa management dispatches a workman as soon as possible to correct the problem. UL-listed extension cords are, in point of fact, a safe and acceptable temporary solution. We had them installed in a timely manner to prevent any food spoilage. The reality is that stuff happens. It is not a perfect world. As to the entrance of repair/maintenance/cleaning personnel on departure day, the situation here is no different from what happens at any recognized hotel: After check-out time, our premises become the domain of those who promptly prepare it for the next tenancy. This is understood throughout the civilized world. And yes… some of them may drive well-used pick-up trucks, which often reflect their coverage of highly-demanded work. Such a snickering reference to the “rickety” vehicle leads us to reasonably question other exaggerated, insulting comments about our property. We shan’t bore readers with exhaustive rebuttals to each, but suffice it to say that absolutely no objections whatsoever were voiced during the initial guest walk-through upon arrival at the Villa. In fact, we have handwritten guest book comments of other family members that paint a very different picture of their experience at Villa Antonio. Direct quote: “We all had a great time…all of us. The accommodations were fantastic! Beautiful home with a beautiful view. This was our first time to southern California. We did get to see the ocean once the rain stopped. Thank you so much!” Finally, it is interesting to note that this incendiary letter, accompanied by demand for monetary refund, was received ONLY AFTER FULL USE OF THE PROPERTY FOR CONTRACTED DATES ---AND AN ADDITIONAL MONTH AND A HALF OF LAPSED TIME. We stand by our commitment to quality and integrity.

  The house was great especially the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas for our family. I know you cater to families and I would make a suggestion that maybe you might remove some of your knick-knacks because they are distracting to children. Thank you.
