Our ideal rental home is located in the highly desirable Villa Nova community located on the western border of Ajijic. We are ½ mile (15 minute walk) from central Ajijic. Our home is nestled in a gated complex of four beautifully designed homes which open onto a lushly landscaped courtyard. You are a few blocks away from 10 restaurants, numerous shops and galleries. It is quick drive to Central Ajijic, but staying in the neighborhood offers a comfy escape from the often busy Centro atmosphere. We are right off the Carretera, with bike and walking lanes. A public bus stop is across the street servicing Lake Chapala, Guadalajara and other points of interest.
The casa is light and bright offering lots of upgrades. This newer single story 1200 square foot home is comfortably furnished including hand carved rustico and Mexican crafts. The traditional arched brick boveda ceilings are charming with ceiling fans throughout. The open floor plan in the living and dining room is banked with a wall of sliding glass doors opening onto a large patio. A curved stucco wall has cascading bougainvillea with papyrus surrounding the Mexican outdoor courtyard, which includes a tiled fountain to cool and refresh your private oasis. Enjoy reading, lounging, napping and entertaining in the fully furnished covered patio. The courtyard is spacious enough for a large party, yet intimate for two. A spiral staircase leads to the rooftop mirador offering a spectacular mountain view, a great space for sunbathing, reading or a romantic dinner.
The master suite has a quality king size bed, large walk in closet with full built-ins. The master suite looks onto a private patio with tiled fountain. A full sized bathtub and separate glass brick shower are in the roomy master bath. Direct access out of the master offers a convenient dog run. The second bedroom has twin beds and built-out closet. The full bathroom is adjacent.
Our kitchen is modern and fully equipped, with a 6 burner gas stove and microwave. Large refrigerator with ice maker. Off the kitchen is a separate laundry/utility room with full size washer and dryer. The home offers high standard double water filtration system.
The house is tiled throughout and exceptionally pet friendly. The electronic gate opens with a push of a button and we offer easy parking for two cars, unlike the village, where street parking can be a problem. The office alcove contains a large desk to house your computer, printer and personal paperwork. Tons of covered outside storage. There is ample secure space for bikes & kayaks.
We employ one of Ajijic's finest, Roma Property Management, to take care of any issues or questions you may have. They handle the payment of the utilities and are on call to help you with any house issue that may arise.
