  We had a wonderful stay at this property over the Thanksgiving week: 4 adults, two young kids and a dog. The floorplan is spacious, and we particularly enjoyed the open kitchen / family room and the huge yard. Everything is very well maintained, but not overly formal or "untouchable" (important given we have two toddlers). The house is better stocked than any other vacation rental we've used -- lots of kitchen utensils, paper and plastic products, pack and play, air mattress, etc. One minor note: the office / den is lit via a skylight. This is where one of our kids slept so it was fairly bright during afternoon naptime and we tried to "turn off" the light before realizing it only looks like an electric light! Overall, though, this made a great home base for our various excursions around the Carlsbad / San Diego area - to Legoland, the Oceanside Pier, Disneyland, downtown San Diego, the zoo, etc.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

  We stayed in this home while we had work done on our home. We live in San Diego but it was still such a delight to stay at this home. The house is beautiful and the yard truly made us feel like we were in a tropical paradise. I looked at many other homes before choosing this one and this was by far the best one I looked at. The house was spotless, property well maintained and fully stock with anything you could need during your stay. The owner made it easy to check in/out and answered all the questions we had ahead of time. The location is also perfect. Close to the beaches, shops, lagoon, Legoland. Our "forced" vacation was wonderful, we didn't want to leave! My 4 year old cried when it was time to go. I would definitley recommend this place to family/friends!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

  Your home is absolutely wonderful-you have thought of everything a person/family could need. We have enjoyed our visit and staying at Melodia Terrace was the icing on the cake. We will be back!

  We have loved the exotic foliage in your garden-so different from our Northern California Redwoods. We enjoyed the spacious luxury of your home-so much freedom and comfort compared to the confines of a hotel room. Thank you so much for a lovely vacation! We'll come again!

  Once again your home felt like being at home. Our two little dogs enjoyed your back yard, the cool weather (compared to Palm Springs) and our son loved the pool and our proximity to Legoland. The home has everything you could possibly think of and we appreciate the accommodations. Hopefully, we can come back during the year.....

  We came from the East Coast for our son's Wedding. We had a wonderful time with family and friends. Your home enabled us to relax and enjoy.... PS We took advantage of your fruit trees...the apricots, peaches & lemons were great!

  Thanks for a fantastic week! The house was prefect for our 2 families and the "pool" was the favorite spot for the kids!
