Bienvenue en Provence! Spend your dream vacation in our new, luxury apartment in Provence. Experience the pleasure of having your own home with all the first class amenities, the perfect choice for travelers who demand convenience, comfort and style. We built and furnished the apartment for our friends and family, and have included everything to make this a "home away from home."

Vaison-la-Romaine is a unique city in Provence with 2,000 year old Roman ruins, a medieval village, and a bustling, modern village life as well. The city has also been designated as one of the "plus beaux villages" in France.

Our apartment is located just 4 minutes walking distance to the center of town. In fact the Tuesday market stalls begin just outside our building entrance. Sophisticated shops, cafes, and restaurants abound in our town.

Walk or bike around town or in the surrounding countryside. For cyclists wanting a challenge, one of the toughest "stages" of the Tour de France is Mont Ventoux, just a few kilometres away.

Our apartment is new construction, just finished in spring, 2007. We worked with designers Donald Ohlen of Ohlen Design in San Francisco and the Napa Valley, as well as with Denis Begouausel of Histoire de Lieux in Vaison to create a charming, sophisticated, and luxurious Provencal environment. The décor is a mixture of the clean, classic lines of traditional French and 18th and 19th century French, with antiques provided by Mostly French of the Napa Valley. The result is a harmonious blend of furnishings across the ages.

The apartment is light, airy and spacious. It is air conditioned-a rarity in Provence--and measures 1,100 square feet, with nearly 300 additional square feet of terrace. It is on the second floor (French "premier étage") with an outside entrance.

Our apartment includes a living/dining room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, an office, one bathroom, water closet, an office and a terrace. It can accommodate 4 adults.

Why the Owner Chose Vaison-la-Romaine

We have been visiting Vaison since the 90's and have always enjoyed it. In 2000 we opened a French Antique shop in the Napa Valley, California. During our frequent buying trips, we traveled through many regions of France so we could check out lots of areas. When we finally decided to buy a condo, we knew that Vaison was the perfect location. It is an active Provencal town, and there are loads of things to do for locals and visitors. The weather is great. The restaurants and wineries are superb! And it is the perfect place to just relax.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

* Our apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
* Wine tasting in this area is world class, but the wines are not expensive.
* New restaurants constantly open and existing ones become even better.
* There are lots of great areas for hikes and biking, even right in town.
* The local theater has several screens and often shows English language films.
* The Tuesday market is the best in the region.
* We are very close to the shopping and cultural life in Avignon.
