Loved the Lodge!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the lodge. We've rented many different cabins in the area and this is one we will definitely come back to. It had everything you could possibly need to enjoy a weekend in the snow. Our boys loved the little sledding hill, air hockey, and s'mores by the fire. The beds were all comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked! I don't expect to find salt, pepper, oil, etc. when renting a place, but we didn't need to bring a thing except our own food. Cindy was very helpful!

The Best Mountain Retreat You Will Find!

This is absolutely the BEST Mountain cabin you will find....period! My wife and I are VERY picky when it comes to travel accomodations and this cabin exceeded every expectation. The house has a ton of space (we had two couples and 6 kids ages 6 to 14) for both sleeping and for having fun! We spent a lot of time in the huge main floor family room by a roaring wood stove playing games at the extra large dining room table or reading in the comfortable leather furniture or recliner. The deck off this floor is large and great for watching the snow by the outdoor wood stove or grilling on the propane grill. The master bedroom on this floor is roomy with a great king bed and a large master bath with soaking tub! The laundry room is huge and is also another 1/2 bath. The kitchen looks dated in the pictures but don't let that sway you. It is large, with a great island with stools to sit and snack or chat while cooking. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need including a dishwasher and a cool Quesadilla maker! The downstairs has a room with a Queen bed and another with two bunk beds with a double lower bunk and single upper bunk, sleeping up to six kids! There is a gigantic full bath downstairs with a bathtub and shower and a cool mud room that leads out to the under deck hot tub and the yard which was covered in snow and was the bottom of a cool sledding hill for the kids! The Upstairs Game Room is the highlight though, with a huge TV, Pool Table, Air Hockey and another small TV for video games. There are a ton of books and movies to choose from and we spent a lot of our nights up there! The house has Wifi that works great, good cell reception (we have AT&T) and small TV's in the two downstairs bedrooms and a nice wall mounted flat screen in the master. The Master and Gameroom TV's have direct TV with all the channels including some Movie channels! The pictures simply don't do this place justice as it is the BEST place we have rented from VRBO! Cindy is a joy to deal with and extremely accomodating! This is a place that pleased everyone and one we will be returning to, and that isn't said lightly in our house of 5! We had some great family time here!

Annual weekend ski trip

My seven brothers and sisters have been taking a cross country ski trip every year for about 10 years - without spouses or kids. This is the best house we have rented yet! It has a very well appointed large kitchen - in fact all rooms are spacious - even the bathrooms! With the hot tub, pool table, air hockey and flat screen with lots of DVDs we had no need to go out looking for entertainment in Leavenworth. The wood stove is the centerpiece in the living room - plenty of wood provided. Dining room table easily sat all 8 and there was a second large round table that could seat another 6. The snowplow came on Saturday and cleared the driveway for us! We rented all ski's at nearby Plain Hardware store and skied at the Chiawawa Sno Park, sno park passes at the Midway store just past the Sno Park on lot Chiawawa - very convenient. Highly recommend this house, we'll be back next year - Cindy is very friendly and really cares that you enjoy her great house.

Great Family Weekend

We really enjoyed our time staying here over the weekend in November. The property accommodated our extended family and we all were able to relax and play in the snow. We had a great time sledding with the kids in the yard and the kitchen was wonderful with 2 ovens to fit a couple turkeys. The game room was so much fun for the kids. We hope to return!

Great times

My extended family spent a long weekend here for my parent's 50th anniversary. The house is amazing, it is so comfortable and cozy. Cindy has it decorated beautifully with "woodsy" accessories and as we were there right before Christmas, there were holiday decorations as well. We enjoyed the hot tub, the WII, the movies and games and books. The rooms are big and accomodated us without feeling cramped. A wonderful time, we're already talking about when we can get back to that magical place. Thanks Cindy!

Our first vacation house rental

This was our very first time renting a vacation house. We took our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids. It was dark when we arrived so the house's beautiful setting wasn't apparent until morning. We unloaded everything while the grandkids went on a walk-a-bout thru the house. When they got to the loft we heard them yell "THIS IS SO AWESOME' The foosball and pool table were such big hits, we had many family tournaments. We were amazed by the entire house and felt right at home. We took the master suite and loved the big high comfy bed and linens. Our daughters family took the lower rooms and the grandkids loved the double bunkbeds with all the bears. The hottub was great too, but the kitchen was really the best to me, so well stocked. Everything we needed was there. We especially loved the big covered wrap around deck with fireplace and lights. It was our favorite coffee break spot. I would definitely recommend this vacation house to everyone. It was immaculate, well taken care of and the only thing we needed to take was food and clothes. I feal it was a great value for our money and look forward to doing it again next year. I found we much preferred this to renting a motel room in Leavenworth. It was close enough to town for shopping and dining but so much nicer to escape the crowds and head back to our "house". Thanks again, we had such a wonderful weekend. Rusty and Donna

Anniversary Week

My wife and I shared our first anniversary here at Mountain Rock Lodge with our family and friends. This was such a great location to relax and enjoy everyone's company. It is a beautiful place and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Wow, Cindy & Ross Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!! We have renamed it the CAMANSION. We had plans to stay at a nice cabin but this place is a masion cabin. Your home is beautiful and more spacious than the pictures show. Everything we needed and more was there. Nice & clean and everything is quality! The mattresses, pillows, linens- they didn't skimp! We had 4 adults and 3 children and had plenty of room to get together and dine or watch a movie and there was plenty of room to break into smaller groups and have a little quiet time. Kids love the game system. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Deck with comfy furniture and fireplace was our favorite spot. Kitchen was big enough to accomodate 4 adults without bumping into one another. Cindy & Ross are very kind and fun people. We can't say enough about their home & the whole experience. Don't pass this one up!

Parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary

The lodge was perfect for celebrating our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. After having a hard time finding the lodge and getting a little stressed driving up and down the road, we walked into a very relaxing lodge that felt like home. I guess we took the directions a little too literal. It’s not .2 of a mile, but actually twice that (.4 of a mile). Thank goodness Cindy was nice enough to answer her cell phone (even though she was busy) and directed us to the lodge. The lodge was clean, spacious and comfortable for everyone from ages 7 months to 73. The pool table and air hockey table were a big hit and used quite a bit, as was the big 50 inch plasma TV in the loft. The leather furniture is super comfortable and of good quality. In fact, most everything is of good quality! It is definitely worth every penny. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and would love to go back. I know this has been said before, but Cindy is a breeze to work with. She is very nice and accommodating. Thanks for sharing your wonderful lodge with our family. It helped create some unforgettable memories.

Wonderful retreat settng

My gosh, we couldn't have had a better retreat place for our group of men. Cindy was so attentive and accommodating before we arrived, which was very reassuring for us. The house is roomy and comfortable, full of special touches... Plenty of beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and a warm wood stove. That, plus the relaxing hot tub and extremely comfy furniture made this more than a 5-star find. Thank you so much!
