Surfside has one of Destin's few outdoor heated pools with a very large deck area including two hot tubs, separate kiddie pool, and saunas. There is a balcony off every room with wonderful ocean views. Surfside has 24-hour security with all hallways inside the building leading to units. Approximately 1200 square feet. King-size master bedroom has its own walk-in closet and private bath with WASHER & DRYER. The second bedroom has a two double full size beds and is next to bath off hallway and 2nd private entrance. Living room has fullsize sleeper sofa for 2. Brand new tile thru out in Dec 2007!

Our family consider ourselves Big Sky Cajans. Originally from Montana taken to the deep south of Louisiana with my husband's pulp and paper career the white sands of Destin, FL have found a way to create a tug of war on our hearts between retiring on Flathead Lake, Montana or the sugary white sands of Destin, FL. Hopefully, if you stay at our condo you can help us decide on the retirment vote. We hope you enjoy our beach home get away as much we do. Never tire of looking at the Gulf view from the balcony.

Fell in love with the warm Gulf water and white sand. Loved the balconies off everyroom giving Surfside condo's plenty of natural lighting. We hope to retire here someday.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Surfside's unique feature in having having balconies off every room in all of its condos. Our condo on the 9th floor offers a spectaular view fo the Gulf Mexico plus it is on the pool side. Full view balconies makes it easier to keep on eye on older teenage children that you might allow to go to the pool without mom & dad. We never tire of the view! Love the heated outdoor swimming pool one of the few in Destin. Makes for comfortable year around swimming. Also, one of the few condos with saunas. The onsite restaurant & bar a big plus. It is just a push of the elevator button away.

Clean, excellent view of Gulf, nice restaurants, close by, beautiful beaches in Miramar Beach. Heated pool and hot tubs. VERY beautiful and clean.

This was our 4th time staying at Surfside. We have stayed on the opposite side of this condo & had Majestic Sun as our view. This condo was fantastic! Beautiful sunrises every morning, great view of the ocean, and it helped to keep an eye on teenagers in the pool:) I highly recommend this condo. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of beach toys, and a beautiful decor. We only had 2 setbacks with our stay this time.....the bath house next to the hot tubs was under construction & no Tiki Bar to have a happy hour drink :( So we used the bathrooms on the 1st floor & brought our own drinks to the sky bridge to watch the sunset every night! We look forward to staying in this condo again next year.

I am pleased that your lst experience renting vrbo meet your expectations since you were already familiar with our resort building. My unit is Gulf side not Gulf front view but the savings is significant when renting a weeek. Many of my renters like seeing the poolside in addition to the Gulf in case some of their party is down swimming. You can still keep an eye on them from the balcony or call them up to dinner. Perfect for those with teenagers or if some of your party needs to stay in the shade of the balcony.

This room sits back somewhat form the front of the building, nevertheless excellent views of the beach and pool area. No real need for much building personal interaction, but all persons were very personable and helpful. To wit, the owner was very timely and helpful in all contacts and questions. We have stayed in this building before, but this is the first time for us to rent directly from an owner. Of this experience, we are eager to repeat this avenue in future years. No unpleasant surprises on site at all. Units are roomy and will likely use for bringing grandkids (and maybe family gatherings) in future also. We have no comment on other entertainments as we go mostly for the beach and pool (beach is directly across from building with only road in between). Consequently we eat light and only go "out" a couple of times. We were fortunate with great weather, but took puzzles, books and building has internet in case of rain. WiFi is surprising able and no glitches during our stay.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved the condo. Spacious, clean, nicely furnished. The waterview is breathtaking! The staff, pools, hottubs etc were wonderful. It also has a skywalk to the beach-very convenient. The balcony is simply huge- it has outdoor furniture where you can relax and enjoy sunsets. There is a restaurant on site with excellent food and service, beauty salon and spa. Washer and dryer, so you don't have to spent time and money on laundromats. The kitchen has all the appliances needed. Beautiful pictures and bedding create an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. We would stay here any future trips and recommend this condo to anyone we know going to Destin, Florida! It is just awesome!
