  Beautiful condo with an amazing view. Bed in the master was extremely comfortable. We loved Surfside and all it had to offer. Especially Happy Hour at Rick's and the oysters. Our teenage boys loved the lighted basketball court. We loved the free beach chairs and umbrellas every day. Just make sure to go down early (between 8 and 8:30am) to secure your spot. Sylvia was very pleasant and easy to deal with and everyone was very nice at resort. We would definitely come back.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

  very clean with great bacony view, the all u can eat crab legs down stairs was to die for. great location!!

  this condo was just as described and everything we wanted! wonderful view of the ocean and right on the beach! would definitely visit again we could not have been happier!

  I liked the view from the condo. The building seemed old and the elevators were slow. Bring your own towels for the beach they are not poolside. This would be a good rental for a small group without children. Only one shower worked well.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  Owner response: Sorry for not communicating about bringing your own beach towels. We had at least 8 large bath towels in the unit. Not sure what you meant about really old elevators, unless you were riding in the service elevator that was not remodeled & had hanging pads to keep the maid carts from hitting the wall. The inside of Surfside was entirely remodeled about 5 years ago & the 2 lobby elevators were replaced 3 years ago & quite fast. Owner-Sylvia Wahoske

  We stayed in this condo in the last part of July/first part of August. It was so very nice (just like in the pictures) and clean and comfortable. The beach was not as crowded as we anticipated, and I love that you get chair/umbrella service. I would love to stay here again sometime!

  Owner response: Usually, August is one of the best times at the beach. Water is warmest & crowds lower due to many southern schools starting in early August. The chairs & beach umbrella are a standard service that I include with the stay for my rental guests. It is a weekly savings of $280.   This was our first time to Destin as a family and this condo helped make the trip very memorable. The layout of the condo was great for our family of 4. Very comfortable beds, especially in the master, nice, big, bathrooms, and enough seating in the den area to accomodate everyone. The views off of the east facing balcony were amazing, we loved having morning coffee while enjoying the sunrise. We could even see a few dolphins out in the water during the calm morning hours. We also liked being able to look out over the pool. We had a minor problem with an appliance, but Sylvia, the owner, called maintenance immediately and took care of the problem. Surfside itself turned out to be a very pleasent surprise. The location is great, far enough away from the busy part of Destin, but close enough to the Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin for Tuesday fireworks and for taking a day trip to the quaint, small towns of Seaside and Watercolor. Many excellent restaurants nearby (Pompano Joes) and within walking distance to Whales Tail and BadAss Coffee. The beach in front of Surfside was very nice and not nearly as crowded as in front of the condos next door at Seascape. I'm sure the private entrance to the beach helped control the crowds. And having chairs and an umbrella at the beach every day was great. Thank you Sylvia for being so wonderful to work with. You were very nice and accomodating and helped take some of the stress out of our vacation. We can't wait to go back next year.

  Clean, excellent view of Gulf, nice restaurants, close by, beautiful beaches in Miramar Beach. Heated pool and hot tubs. VERY beautiful and clean.

  This was our 4th time staying at Surfside. We have stayed on the opposite side of this condo & had Majestic Sun as our view. This condo was fantastic! Beautiful sunrises every morning, great view of the ocean, and it helped to keep an eye on teenagers in the pool:) I highly recommend this condo. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of beach toys, and a beautiful decor. We only had 2 setbacks with our stay this time.....the bath house next to the hot tubs was under construction & no Tiki Bar to have a happy hour drink :( So we used the bathrooms on the 1st floor & brought our own drinks to the sky bridge to watch the sunset every night! We look forward to staying in this condo again next year.

  I am pleased that your lst experience renting vrbo meet your expectations since you were already familiar with our resort building. My unit is Gulf side not Gulf front view but the savings is significant when renting a weeek. Many of my renters like seeing the poolside in addition to the Gulf in case some of their party is down swimming. You can still keep an eye on them from the balcony or call them up to dinner. Perfect for those with teenagers or if some of your party needs to stay in the shade of the balcony.
