Our beautiful 6 unit, condo complex, log-cabin style, is located as close to the Caribbean as you can stay. Both buildings have 3 levels; each 3BR/2BA apartment has a complete level for maximum privacy.
It is light, open, and airy, with a comfy common room with a 42" plasma T.V., couches, love seats and a dining area (all in fine wooden finishes), a fully stocked kitchen with granite tops, two large bathrooms. One bathroom has a jetted tub (8 ft x 3ft). All three bedrooms have direct view to the ocean or to the mountains behind the complex. The main bedroom (King bed) and the middle room (2 Double beds) have a direct access door to the veranda. The third room has a large window with an ocean view (2 Twin beds). All rooms are equiped with an ultra quiet A/C that still lets you sleep to sound of the waves and wake up to the birds. The third floor apartments also include an indoor mezzanine, futon and study area, with an amazing ocean view.
The covered veranda runs completely around each condo, which allows you to pick your resting place with the view you prefer, or simply enjoy the beach, the palm trees and the calm breeze. You will enjoy the beautiful tropical yard, landscaped with exotic native flowers, palm trees, gualiqueme trees, banana trees, orchids, and other fruit trees.
The complex has 3 common decks, each on a different level so your beachview is never interrupted. The first deck, with a built-in bar covered by the relaxing shade of our main Gualiqueme tree. Moving down is the second deck where the pool is located. The pool is 25 ft x 12ft, with seats and water jets on both ends. Also in this level is our 8ft x8 ft hot tub. A couple of more steps down is the beach-front deck for dinners, reunions or to simply relax and watch the sunset over the water.
The water supplied to our complex comes directly from the nearby mountain springs. This area on the Honduras Caribbean coast is very safe and friendly. The cultural town of Omoa is 5 minutes away, where you can find stores, groceries, restaurants, and a 17th Century Spanish Fort, La Fortaleza de San Fernando. Omoa is also a known stop for European tourist cruises. The area is also well known for its eco-tourism, hiking and bike mountain trails, canopy, sailing and private or secluded beaches (such as ours).
Food specialties are Creole, Seafood, Honduran cuisine. Puerto Cortes (main port in Central America) is 10 minutes. San Pedro Sula 45 mins, and the Mayan city of Copan 3.5 hrs. The area of Omoa is recognized by the Honduran government as one of the country´s top tourism areas.
We are the first high-end condo or hotel complex in the area, your privacy is our mission, mass tourism is not found near Estancias La Gaviota. The sounds of the Caribbean are around you at all times, while at the same time you also have all the commodities your stay desires. La Gaviota is such a wonderful place, I have been there twice and I would love to go back. It is so peaceful and beautiful, I felt in paradise.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed in this property in January 2010 and had a wonderful time. Our boys loved it so we will go back in May. The beach is very clean and tranquil. We can watch our boys from the deck. There are good restaurants around. Harry "the owner" is very friendly and helpful to our need. We definitely recommend this place...
