We had an awesome 2 week vacation at Sapphire Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches we've experienced. The water was crystal clear with amazing shades of blue. We liked the uncrowdedness of off season (but not the mosquitoes). My husband didn't feel comfortable driving on left side so we got around on the local safari taxis, regular taxis and the ferries. The safari taxis were great and cheap ($2 to charlotte amalie). We went St John twice (Trunk Bay & Cinnamon Bay). Loved the quaint little city in Cruz Bay and found the best fish sandwich at Woody's there. Shopped & went sightseeing in Charlotte Amalie twice (ate at Glady's Cafe and liked the food & her singing; and ate at Cuzzins but didn't like the food or service there). Thought the sand on the floor of the historic jewish temple was very cool. Went on New Horizons sailboat trip one day and snorkeled near Honeymoon Beach (St John) and Little St James island. We brought our blow-up 2 man kayak and went out many times in it. Snorkeling was great and between all of us, we saw a variety of colorful fish, huge turtles, stingrays, a baby eel, squid, eagle ray, barracuda, tarpon, sea slugs, coral, huge black spined sea urchins & bright red spined ones... Every day we saw chickens, large iguanas, geckos, cute little ducks with red & black beaks, and sea birds, and at Cinnamon Bay we saw deer. Every now and then, we spotted a mongoose. We heard frogs singing at night. We saw deer at Cinnamon Bay. We attended the Tillett Gardens Art Festival and bought some local art there. Ate lots of papaya, carribbean food & fresh fish. The flora on the islands are a feast for the eyes. In the Sapphire Village complex alone, there are large cacti, coconut palms, rubber trees, breathtaking royal poinciana trees, century plants, bouganvilla, plumeria trees (frangipani), ixora, oleander, hibiscus, sea grape trees, mangrove trees & many other flowering plants I don't know the names of. The condo was very spacious, clean & comfortable. Bed was very comfy and there were lots of towels. The kitchen was adequately equipped for cooking small meals for the 4 of us. Great tropical furniture & art. The HOA office has 800+ free movies on DVD, so we checked out a few. They also have a bunch of books & the internet connection there is pretty good. The owners provided a lot of info & obviously want to make sure their guests have a great vacation. Overall, we had an amazing time and would recommend this condo and the location.

Our family enjoyed staying at Kiribe vbery much anbd would highly reccomend it to other's looking to stay in St Thomas. The condo was very confortable and clean. Everything that you need to stay the week was there. Linens, beach towels, snorkeling equipment (we had brought our own though) etc. We didn't use the kitchen to cook but you certainly could have and there was a small grill if you wanted to cook outside. The view from both balcony's was beautiful. Everything looked just mlike the pictures on the web site. We had never booked a vacation through VRBO before but it was very easy and hassle free. The owner was very easy to work with and even sent us a nice brochure with a lot of useful information about the condo and St Thomas just before leaving for our vacation. St Thomas is a great island to visit with lots to do and an easy ferry ride to several other islands. Book your trip now and stay at the KIRIBE you won't be sorry.

Spent a week in St Thomas and the condo was just right. The listing description is very accurate and everything one would need is provided at the condo to include 2 hair dryers! We really appreciated the beach towels and snorkeling gear-they were put to good use! This was the first time I had rented a condo and it was a very simple experience with plenty of good communication between myself and the condo owners-they even sent me a brochure about St Thomas, the condo and helpful hints. I would definitely recommend this condo to others. I do recommend you bring some good mosquito repellant as they were fierce during my stay and some staples like coffee, tea, sweetner. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

My husband and I came to St. Thomas for our one year anniversary and we had the best time. The weather was perfect all week, sunny, warm and it only rained one night. The condo was so nice and roomy and very clean. We did tons of sight seeing: we spent a day on the Breakaway tour and went to the British Virgin Islands, spent a day in St. John shopping, rented some jet ski's and explored the town of Red Hook. At night we would sit on the balcony and have a drink and play lots of scrabble! The beach had great places to snorkel and we saw lots of beautiful fish. We went to the Coral Reef Zoo and we got to swim with their sharks! It was of my highlights of the trip! It was such a relaxing place to visit and everyone is so helpful! We really got use to island time and had a hard time leaving. If all my ideas aren't what you are looking for, there are tons of brochures at the condo full of awesome adventures! So if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing, warm, friendly island get away, look no more Kirbie has it all! We look forward to coming back real soon! Thanks!

Great vacation, excellent owners Our family of four stayed at Kiribe for a week over Christmas. Clean condo with everything you could need – full kitchen and grill, beach chairs, towels and a cooler, snorkeling gear (convenient not to rent at every location, we took it everywhere with us!) and a nice selection of books, games and movies, which you can supplement with rentals from the office. We genuinely appreciated the thoughtful pamphlet that Steve sent us before our trip because it was our map and guidebook around the island. We rented a car, which allowed us to visit a number of beaches around the island; Secret Harbor ended up being a favorite. Driving on the left side was unusual at first, but it quickly became routine – don’t be intimidated! Kiribe’s proximity to Red Hook was also a benefit when we went for a day trip to St. John, because the marina was a quick five minute drive. Food recommendations were great as well, some of which we would have bypassed if they had not been pointed out - we especially loved Latitude 18 and The Toad and the Tart (Anna, the owner, also directed us to Thirteen, a delicious restaurant on the north side). Steve was especially helpful and responsive when my daughter’s flight was cancelled due to a snowstorm and worked out arrangements for her to stay for some extra time. Kiribe was an idyllic oasis on St. Thomas and Steve was a very gracious host. Thanks again for opening up your home to our family and making this a wonderful vacation!! Kevin Hour

My husband and I stayed at Kiribe for a week, and could not have asked for a better getaway or place to stay. It is a clean, inviting condo with beautiful decor and furniture that has everything you need for a stress-free, relaxing vacation. It is very close to Red Hook (so convenient for groceries, great restaurants & bars, and the ferry to St. John or the BVI's ; if you don't have a car, watch for the $2 safari "taxis"), is connected to a beautiful pool area and convenient Grapevine Cafe, and is just a short walk to Sapphire Beach which is gorgeous and great for snorkeling (Grapevine delivers to you on the beach!). It is also right off a dock where many snorkeling trips and day sails leave from...what more could you ask for? A few of our favorite amenities were the full kitchen and grill (get meat from Marina Market - yum!), beach towels and snorkeling gear (so nice to not have to rent!), iPod dock and CD/movie supply, 2 full bathrooms, AC that cools the rooms quickly, and the two balconies with amazing views. Steve & Jeanne have a beautiful place, and were extremely helpful with answering questions and supplying us with helpful information beforehand. I would recommend Kiribe to anyone, and if we are lucky enough to return to the USVIs anytime in the near future, we will be sure to go when Kiribe is available! Some recommendations: New Horizon’s all inclusive snorkeling tour (2 snorkeling stops) A day at Coral World & Coki Beach – St. Thomas BVIs: Bubbly pool, White Bay and lunch at Foxy’s Taboo Bushwhackers for happy hour and Seafood Platter at Woody’s – St. John If you're considering a stay at Kiribe - do not hesitate, book it!

We spent 3 nights at the Kirby's condo March 18 - 21. There were 5 of us at this condo, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 child (9 yrs old). It was very clean, comfortable and roomy. The condo has 2 bathrooms, which is extremely nice to have that second bathroom! Red Hook is close by, less than 1/2 mile away and it is easy to catch a taxi anywhere you want to go from the front of the complex. There is good snorkeling in Sapphire Beach. We rented a captained boat (sunsea charter with captain Alex) and went to BVI, the marina is right there, so it is very easy pick up and drop off for us. The condo also has a bunch of books and movies, we ended up spending every night watching their movies. The owners, Steve and Jeanne, are the best, they were very responsive and and went out of their way to be helpful. We had a great time!

We just returned from a great vacation on St. Thomas. The condo was perfect for two couples! We had our privacy and never felt as though we were ever in each other's way. We enjoyed all the amenities of the condo! It felt like home. We plan to bring our family back and stay there again next winter!

Just got back from Steve's place in St. Thomas. We stayed there for 2 weeks over the Xmas holidays and it was very functional for a family of 4. Great location just outside of Redhook and close to Sapphire beach, which was gorgeous. Steve is really easy to get in contact with as far as all the details of staying there goes and what there is to do once you get there. We were really glad the condo was a 40 minute drive from Charlotte Amalia, because that town is so congested with tourists from the cruise ships. Redhook is close and small, but has everything you need and nothing you don't.

My wife and I and our two grandchildren (ages 12 & 14) enjoyed our stay very much. Very comfortable, clean, well equipped, and great location. Just as described. We feel a rental car is a real necessity (we had one); with it you are five minutes from Red Hook, the ferry boats (to St. John, Tortola, etc), boat charters (American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook). The pool is very nice, nice bar/restaurant right beside it. Food store very near. Two excellent upscale restaurants (the Cellar, the East End Cafe) were reasonable. It was exactly what we were looking for. We take the kids on a trip each year & this rated as one of their very best.(compared to cruises, NY trip, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, etc.) This was my first experience driving on the left & was less of a problem than I thought.

Kiribe was a wonderful base location for us, providing ample room for 4 adults, a place to relax, and all of the little extras made it perfect for us. Sapphire Beach has great snorkeling, we saw green turtles, spotted eagle ray, other rays, squid, barracuda, a sea star, conch, and lots of lovely fish - all from the this amazing little beach. Dive In! at Sapphire Beach is a nice small operation for anyone interested in diving and not driving into Red Hook. Arches & Tunnels was my favorite dive location. Thanks for sharing your slice of St. Thomas with us.

My husband and I and 2 of my girlfriends stayed at the Kiribe Condo last November. We loved the condo. We found the condo to be spacious for the 4 of us. No-one got on anyone’s nerves which was really important. It was wonderful to have the 2 balcony’s. For my husband and I this was our 4th year. We love STT and wanted to bring our friends so the us girls could celebrate the exiting of our 30’s. (my poor husband). Sapphire Village is the perfect location for all there is to do in STT and the views – wow! We find that STT offers the best of all worlds. Island hopping is our favorite. BVI is beautiful. We all journeyed over to STJ for dinner one night which was just lovely. We also do a day trip by car ferry there. We ate a few nights at Duffy’s – can’t beat the prices for food. We ate dinner in a couple of nights with fresh sea food, beef and chicken from Marina Market. We found they have the freshest food in those we mentioned. The best place to get spirits is the Market in TU-TU plaza if you are brave enough to mix in with the locals. Some groceries are cheaper there as well – I don’t recommend getting meat there though stick to Marina Market for that. We did a lot of activities on this trip after all it was a celebration. One of my friends and I went and swam with the sea lions – OMG that was fun! We also parasailed – the first of all of us – it was a blast. Coki Beach has the best prices. We did the Kayak tour as well. The Great House has beautiful tropical flowers and forest. We stumbled on that last year and thought it was worth the trip over. If you can any of the BVI day trips are a Must – we go one a different one each year. Ending up a Jost Van Dyke is a MUST! Nothing compares to the beach there. If we go back with friends we will be sure to book the Kiribe Condo again if they will have us back. ?

(January 2009) There were 4 of us at this condo, 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 12 years). It was very clean, comfortable and roomy. It was nice with the trade winds blowing, eating on the deck and looking at the view. We spent most of our time snorkeling at beaches. Sapphire beach has great snorkeling...sea turtles, choral, (the owner saw an eagle ray there) tons of colorful fish, etc... Even though Red Hook is less than 1/2 mile away, we don't recommend walking there. One has to walk on the road for a short distance...that wouldn't be safe. We recommend renting a car. Taxi ride to Red Hook is $16 for 4 people. Plus taxi ride from the airport to condo is $60 for 4 people. We loved the beaches at St John...pristine! Took the people ferry out of Red Hook to St. John's. We rented a jeep for $75 a day and drove from beach to beach. Saw lot's of wildlife when snorkeling...lush choral, sea turtles, star fish, spiny lobster, eagle rays, sting rays, tons of colorful fish. The owner, Steve, is great to deal with. He responds quickly. Snorkeladdicts, The Kecks, Oconomowoc, WI

We stayed at Kiribe December 24th through January 2nd and we had one of the best Christmas's ever! The 85 degree weather sure beats the snow in Chicago! We had a great time in St. Thomas. The location of the condo is very convenient to many beaches and close to Red Hook where you can grocery shop, eat and catch the ferry to St. John. The condo was very roomy for us and our two sons. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony every morning! We would love to return to St. Thomas in the near future!

Four of us stayed at the condo while conducting work in the USVI. It was perfect - well-equipped (great kitchen), nicely decorated, and very clean. It was really nice to have 2 balconies and the views were lovely. I also liked how you had options in the bedrooms - either 2 twins or one king. The location was excellent; it is close enough to walk to Red Hook but since there are no sidewalks, you really should drive, take a taxi, or catch the inexpensive safari bus into town (which was easy to do). After work each day, we enjoyed snorkeling in Sapphire Bay or just walking along the beach or the marina. Steve was great to work with - quick replies to questions and very helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience!

June 20-27, 2008 Go no further if you are searching for a clean, comfortable and well located vacation spot. Kiribe offered everything featured in the description and more! We were very impressed by all the special little touches the condo had that you just would never find in a Hotel/Resort location. The two bedrooms and two full bathrooms worked out great for my family of 5; Mom/Dad and three daughters. The pool and restaurant with a full bar just '75-steps' away makes a nice get away for mom and dad while the children watch a DVD in the condo. If and when I return to St Thomas, I will make sure I do it when Kiribe is available!

We stayed at the condo with our family and had a wonderful time. All the beaches were beautiful (incl St. Johns). You can snorkel at any beach. We took the car ferry out of Red Hook to St Johns- lots to do there- must stop at Woody's for Happy Hour. One recommendation, make sure to rent a car. It will expand your adventures.

What a great vacation we had here and the condo was just lovely, with all the amenities, just a few minutes walk to a beautiful sandy beach with some of the finest snorkeling you'll ever find. The condo is spacious, and the balconies are lovely for conversation and wine after dark! And, when you tire of the beach, there is a beautiful pool just downstairs! We had a perfect vacation, thanks so much!

A very spacious, clean condo. There were only two of us but it could easily handle a family. Two large bedrooms and two decks and a large storage room for all beach supplies. The condo pool was beautiful and sparkling clean with plenty of pool-side chairs. This condo was very close to Red Hook which made it convenient for grocery shopping, the ferry or dining out.

A perfect choice for our stay in St. Thomas. Super location - a short drive (1/2 mile, about 3 minutes)to Red Hook for the ferry, groceres, and restaurants. Walk down the hill to Saphire beach (with some of the most beautiful snorkeling we've ever seen in St. Thomas) or to the marina to schedule a dive or fishing excursion. Everything else is reachable by an easy, scenic drive. The pool next to the unit is very refreshing after the heat of the carribean sun. The condo is very comfortable and plenty of space for 4 adults - efficient little kitchen, comfy mattresses and nice linens and towels, 2 balconies to enjoy the morning breeze and coffee, even an ipod port for the stereo!
