The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love hiking in Haleakela and snorkeling in Turtle town plus the long long walk on the pristine beach to Kihei.
ʻĪao (pronounced EE-OW) means cloud supreme in Hawaiian and indeed it is. This lush, stream-cut valley offers a 1200 foot vegetation covered lava remnant, the Iao Needle. A short hike takes you to the needle and through an ethnobotanical loop of native species flora.
Aptly named “The Hawaiian Aquarium,” this state-of-the-art marine park is the only facility in the world dedicated to fostering understanding, wonder and respect for Hawaii’s marine life. See spectacular live coral displays (the largest collection in the nation), enjoy playful swimming displays by Hawai‘i’s beloved green sea turtles, awe at close encounters with sharks, rays and more – while learning about Hawai‘i’s natural history and cultural heritage.
Founded in 1980 and committed to promoting marine conservation, research and education, the Pacific Whale Foundation is a quick five- to ten-minute walk from the condo and offers whale-watching snorkeling, stargazing excursion and more.
Approximately 700 acres, the Kealia Preserve is a lovely, quiet place to observe Hawai‘i's endangered wetland birds, along with a diversity of feathered visitors from as far away as Alaska and Canada. A newly constructed boardwalk keeps you dry and the wildlife safe. Drive to the Pond and park your car or take a one mile beach walk from the condo to access the boardwalk from the ocean side.

Our East Coast family (mom, dad and 2 boys- ages 13 and 11) spent a week in April 2011 at this FANTASTIC condo right on the water. The complex respects privacy but also is filled with friendly people (coffee, cocktails etc. around the pool are common, especially at dinner time when people are grilling- we HIGHLY recommend using the very clean grill- a grill and meal on the patio are a perfect way to end the day). The unit itself is cozy and has plenty of room for a family of 4 (including 2 tween/teen boys!). Kitchen has all needed amenities, bedrooms have their own bathrooms, living room is nice, cable tv etc. Balcony really makes the place- 2nd floor is perfect spot for sightseeing and has privacy. We ate most of our meals there. Open the balcony door in the morning and the sounds of the surf enter the room. 5 stars, well deserved!
