My husband & I were in CA for a destination wedding in San Clemente. Being from AZ, we have spent lots of time in Southern CA. I fell in love with this location. It was close to everything! And the condo itself was roomy and very well tended (The 2 bathrooms were a plus as we weren't getting in each others way). The area is quiet & serene. My only regret is that we were so busy with visiting friends, family & wedding party that we were hardly able to spend much time there.

My husband and I were looking for a place half way between San Diego and LA, close to the beach, in a quiet area...and easily accessible: we found it with this property. It was simply perfect - a few minutes walk to the beach, within walking distance to downtown Dana Point, an easy drive to grocery/drug stores. It is also close to Huntington and Newport beaches...great places to go for a stroll or grab a bite to eat or shop. San Diego Zoo and Historical San Diego are approx. 1 hour away...San Juan Capistrano is less than 30 minute away - the Mission is a must see. This condo was perfect for us, very clean, very comfortable with attention to details: I particularly liked the kitchen as it contained all the necessary gadgets (food processor, coffee maker), dishes and utensils...including a juicer: I especially enjoyed making/drinking fresh squeeze orange juice every morning - and laundry facility. When we travel, we quickly tire of restaurant food so being able to cook and eat at the condo was great. The owner answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. She had provided clear instructions prior to our arrival so finding the place was easy: she had also provided detailed information at the condo on places to see, things to do and how to operate everything including the BBQ. The photos on the website do reflect the property. I would recommend this condo to any couple wishing to spend a romantic time away from the stress of every day life. I would recommend it to family and friends....we would certainly return if only we lived within driving distance!

Great Beach Property

This condo unit was perfect for our stay in Dana Point CA. We travelled to this complex with family members who also rented condo’s in the same complex all within walking distance of each other. This condo is an upper unit tucked away in a very private part of the complex. There was no noise from either neighbours or road noise from any of the routes nearby. The Condo was just as it was stated the owners description, amenities, photos etc., very clean and well equipped with most everything you would need. The kitchen is roomy, well equipped and easily useable. The dining area is spacious and can easily accommodate dinner guests. The balcony with its furnishings was very comfortable and provided a view of the ocean. The three balcony doors create a great cross breeze if needed and lots of natural light. There are ceiling fans in the main room and bedroom and they gentle move air throughout. The décor is cozy and comfortable, “like the cottage” feel. Master bedroom is spacious and the bed extremely comfortable; maybe too much so! The unit and complex is very close to shopping areas, recreational areas, restaurants, grocery chains and most importantly the beach; actually several beaches. The owner has provided a menu of places to see, places to eat and nearby attractions. Travel to and from the complex using Selva Road, Pacific Coast Highway and I5 was effortless and rather uncomplicated. The owner was very accommodating as to our enquires and very efficient in detailing our rental stay. In all we had a very restful and enjoyable visit and for sure will come again to this excellent vacation property

Beach Cottage Condo

We live just 10 miles east of this condo but we love to wake up by the beach and watch the sunset every night. We've always thought this is one of the prettiest beaches in southern California, and it's proximity to the Dana Point Harbor makes it a perfect location. The decor of the condo has a perfect "beach cottage" feel to it, and we were suprised at how quiet it is there. During the week, we had the pool almost to ourselves and enjoyed the ocean view from the spa. The owner was very helpful and the property was clean and well mainained. As locals, our favorite restaurant is The Harbor Grill at the Dana Point Harbor. Be sure to visit to Ocean Institute when it is open to the public on the weekends. Jon's Fish in the Harbor is a fun place for lunch. You can see expert surfing almost any day at Salt Creek Beach, which is right next to Strands Beach.

The condo is beautiful inside and out. Very quiet neighborhood. The beach is within walking distance, and dolphins played on the shored several days in a row. We would definiely love to visit here again!

We had a great time and did more walking than we ever have because of the location of this home, right at the beach. We were looking for a restful, beach vacation and really found it. The condo is > comfortable, clean and pleasant and was just perfect for the two of us. We had access to everything we could want. Can't thank you enough for a wonderful vacation.

My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Coleen's lovely condo for a week. It is filled with tasteful designer touches, very comfortable, clean, quiet, and a terrific location across from the beach & near the harbor. There is also an inviting patio/BBQ grill to enjoy any time of day with a partial ocean view. The pool and hot tub in the complex is an added plus. We shall return!

This was out third time visiting this lovely unit in Laguna Niguel Shores and our 6th time in the complex over the past few years. The unit is always spotless and fully equipped; the location is perfect - 1 row away from Sekva road so no road noise, yet a nice view of the ocean, a second story unit - again no noise from someone above, and comfortable, clean furniture, etc.........Our first pick whenever we can get away from Scottsdale and spend some time on the beach.

My husband and I stayed at this condo 7/3-10/11. The condo was extremely clean and decorated very nicely as can be seen in the accurate photos. The condo is in a very good location within 15-20 min. walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants (Dana Point town and Harbor area). There is a black top short cut walking path from Selva Rd. to Pacific Coast Highway. Also very close walk to Salt Creek Beach (escalator if cannot walk up/down somewhat steep hill). We are an active couple in our 50’s and had no issue walking to either location and appreciated the chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels and even small cooler provided in the condo. The condo is well equipped with WIFI, maps, kitchen utensils, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, ironing board/iron, hair dryer, new refrigerator and there is a stackable washer/dryer if needed. Owner’s pride in ownership shows in the various upgrades (wood floors, kitchen cabinets, paint colors) and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio furniture. There are ceiling fans and sliding glass doors for cool cross breezes to keep the temperature comfortable. The king size bed has upgraded linens and mattress. Dana Point is also relatively close to the outdoor shopping mall in Newport Beach and various restaurants, shops and beaches in San Clemente and Laguna Beach. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. We would definitely rent this condo again in the future.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Dana Point. The apartment is very comfortable, everything is in perfect condition. Beach is within a real walking distance. So, all was just as described or even better. Great restaurant in Dana Point Harbour-The Harbour Grill. We can recommend this place for holiday for everyone. Sawa and Maciej, Warsaw, Poland

Our stay was wonderful, the Condo was so nice and clean and we didn't want for anything. We were impressed by how well the condo was equipped and furnished. And for once the condo was better than advertised. The orb lights in the pots on the patio were one of many unexpected touches. The location is perfect with several restaraunts nearby and the close proximity to the ocean. We will definitely stay here again

Our December stay here was wonderfully peaceful. The condo is so spacious with two full baths, laundry and large kitchen, all beautifully decorated and fully updated. Lots of natural light and no noise from neighbours at all. The beach is amazing and such a short walk (five minutes...a little longer on the way back up the stairs if the funicular isn't opened =)), the fresh ocean air is invigorating! Great location, no road noise, easy to get to restaurants, malls and shops either walking or driving. Owner was absolutely a dream to work with, so helpful and responsive. We'll definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo! We arrived to fresh baked brownies and spent our days working them off walking up and down the beach cliff trail. The harbor is also about a 25 minutes walk away down trails with beautiful views and has some great breakfast restaurants. The condo was super clean and comfortable, we felt at home. The new washer/dryer was great to have so that we didn't need to bring much luggage. Everyone we met in the complex was very friendly and the newly done pool was perfect for us. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves during the weekdays except for about 5 dophins that decided to hang out about 100 feet offshore, it was amazing. We will be back again and again.

Thank you! We had a wonderful time. The condo is lovely, immaculate, comfortable, and well decorated with art and reminders of the beach. Accessible to great walks down to and along the beach, the Strand Park, and Dana Point village. We enjoyed superb sunsets and refreshing mountain and ocean views. The owner has thought out the stay providing maps, restaurant and local activities info, current calendar, beach equipment, etc. She is extremely helpful. We have recommended the condo to famliy. We would love to go back some time. As well as just relaxing on the small deck or by the pool, taking many walks, discovering the Ocean Institute and Richard Henry Dana’s Statue and the Brig Pilgrim in the harbor, we also enjoyed going to San Juan Capistrano and having a boat day trip to Catalina Island.

What you read and what you see on VRBO for this listing is what you get........along with some pleasant extras. We've stayed at many vacation rental properties over the years, but this is the only one that was 100% as described. In addition to that, we found current literature for area attractions, discount cards to use at Ralph's grocery, Rite Aid, Albertson's, etc., Orange County magazines, DVDs, even Scotch tape. Just when we thought we'd have to go to the store for some kitchen utensil or supply , we'd find it. The owner, Coleen, is super organized, attentive, and maintains this very clean, attractive, and comfortable condo. NOTE: Should you need some music to get into the SoCal mood upon your arrival, we left a Beach Boys CD for your listening pleasure.

What a great condo! The location is quiet, a short walk to the beach, yet close to the harbor & restaurants. The condo looks exactly as it does in the photos & is immaculately kept. Coleen is very easy to deal with; she responds to e-mails quickly & answers questions honestly. The kitchen is well equipped & has everything you might need plus more. The view from the deck is perfect to watch the sun set. I chose this condo knowing nothing of the area & would go back in a minute.

We just completed our third stay at this unit and must confess it gets harder and harder to leave and return home. The close proximity to beautiful beaches, good restaurants and laid-back coastal communities to explore, make this condo a great place to unwind. The owner is very nice to work with and keeps the unit in great condition. We hope to return again and again ( or at least till our California grandchildren get tired of us ).

We felt very comfortable here, the condo was clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. The complex looks well kept and the location is convenient - not only to the beach but also for day trips. We tried out the recommended restaurants (note on the fridge), the food was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to any couple or small family.

We were familiar with the area, but had never really visited "The Strand" beach area before and this condo complex in particular. It's a beautiful area, very quiet - and the best beach in the area for kids and adults alike. Close to everything you need for a vacation is right there for you. It's like your own condo you really have to just bring yourself and clothes - the owner had thought of everything.

Coleen's coastal condo surpassed our expectations. We normally stay at the Marriott's Newport Coast timeshares but felt they were a tad bit too expensive this year so we took a chance on this condo and we are so glad we did. We plan on coming back here next year. It was clean, and very charming. A real beach vacation as you can walk to the beach or drive to several others that are close by. Salt Creek beach was one of our favorites. The condo had everything we needed and was located in a very quiet community. The pool was fabulous and not at all crowded. There are great walking paths all around. Plenty of places close by to shop and eat. Did I mention the ocean view...Miss it so much already!

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable, relaxing, clean, well-equipped condo! The owner was extremely prompt in responses to emails when we were setting up the trip and as previous guests have commented, the description of the condo/local area is accurate. The beach is only a short walk away and the walk down to Dana Pt Harbor is beautiful. This is a great area to visit with lots of beaches nearby as well as a lot of other attractions (Sea World, Disneyland, Legoland etc..). We had a great time on our visit with our 1-yr old and would love to come back again!

We have been staying in the Dana Point area five or six times per year for the past seven years and have stayed multiple times in the Niguel Beach Terrace complex. This most recent visit was our first stay in this particular condo and it has now become our first choice. The unit is very comfortable and nicely decorated and has the “feel” of a New England cottage (we are from the Boston area). The owner is very easy to work with and really cares about her condo. We hope to be able to rent it again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely condo this summer. We especially appreciated the fact that the description of the property and the surrounding area was very accurate (we have rented several vacation properties before and this is not always the case!) It was very clean and well-furnished and had many new/modern amenities and appliances. The condo is located in a very quiet, peaceful complex and has ideal proximity to both a pool/spa and a beautiful beach. We found the proximity to Dana Point, Laguna Beach and children's attractions (Disneyland, etc) very accessible. There are many beautiful shops and all kinds of restaurants nearby. The kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking in, if desired, and there are a few good supermarkets nearby. My son was very comfortable on the day bed and enjoyed having his own area right in front of the tv. He really loved the pool and found some other children there to play with. The owner was very pleasant and responsive to our questions. We would love to visit this area of Southern California again!

The owner provides a wonderful place to stay in Dana Point. She is very responsive to emails and all transactions are smooth and handled professionally. This area of California is absolutely beautiful. The colors of the beaches are brought into the condo in the way of furnishings, draperies, and paint color which makes your stay very relaxing.

We were very happy with your condo. It was clean and well furnished. The linens and towels were nice quality, and the beds were comfortable, including the twin day bed, which was much more comfortable than a pull out bed.
