This recently built (2007) beautiful townhome is the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway anytime of the year! Since it was a model home, it has many luxurious accents that will help to make your vacation memorable and comfortable. It has over 2,600 sq. ft. of living space so up to 10 people will feel that you have plenty of space!
The home overlooks the tennis courts and the 175 acre Big Boulder Lake and beach, which are a walk (or a very short drive) away in the summer. At the Lake Mountain Club, there is a heated pool and baby pool and boats available for rental by the hour. Tennis courts are available, at no charge, both behind our home and at the Lake Mountain Club. Passes to the club are included in your rental.
In the winter you can be at the ski slopes in under 5 minutes. From our outside deck, you will have a beautful view of Big Boulder Mountain. A few steps inside and you are back sitting next to the fireplace.
Nearby are two great golf courses, Split Rock and and the new 5 Star Jack Frost National. Both present challenges to golfers and offer beautiful vistas. You can also enjoy hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, 2 casinos, movie theatres,bowling,and great visits to nearby State Parks and the new water park at Split Rock Lodge. Come see all the area has to offer you!
There are 3 floor of living in our home. On the main floor is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area with a beautiful gas fireplace and a powder room. Also on the entry floor is a master bedroom suite featuring a soaking tub, a 20 inch TV and a king size bed. In the living room, there is a 42 inch plasma TV with DVD player and a CD/Stereo system. From the kitchen, there is a walkout to our deck with an outdoor table and chairs and gas operated grill for cooking out anytime of the year.
Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and a tv and one with 2 twins and a TV.
The walkout basement has been converted into a family room with a 42 inch TV/DVD. A pool table, and dart board complete the recreation area. You will also find 2 more bedrooms on the lower level, one with a queen bed and a TV and one with twin beds and a TV. Wireless internet service is available throughout the house.
One of the best features of this 3 floor home is that you can be together as a group and yet have space to be apart and have privacy.
We prefer 1 famiy or 2 small families or groups of mature couples. We do not allow smoking or pets and prefer tenants over the age of 25 years. We ask that you take care of our home as if it is your own.

Why the Owner Chose Big Boulder
Big Boulder in the Poconos is a very convenient location for a quick getaway anytime of the year. We enjoy all of the seasons there. The fall and spring are beautiful, in the winter, we like to take advantage of the winter sports, especially skiing and snowboarding, and in the summer, we enjoy the lake and outdoor activities such as golf, hiking and biking. We also love the townhouse itself, its styling and amenities.

We enjoy the soaking tub, the pool and ping pong table, all of the TV's. We like walking and hiking in the area, enjoy the Lake Mountain Club and pool and proximity to the ski slopes.

We had a great vacation at this property!! The house is very clean. There is plenty of space. Everything is clearly labeled. The house is beautifully furnished and comfortable too. The air conditioning really cools the house when it is hot outside. The grounds are well maintained. The lake club is lovely. We'd love to come back some other time.

I stayed at the lake house From July 8th - July 11th for a mini family vacation. The house was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean, and was complete with anything you could think of. Most importantly, the air conditioning worked great! :) Susan was very easy to get in touch with throughout the planning process, and also while we were staying at the house. The lake, as mentioned in the description was only minutes away and gorgeous, complete with lounge chairs, pool, tiki bar, and lots of fun activities for all ages! I would DEFINITELY recommend this house!

This rental was very clean, and did in fact accomadate 10 to sleep comfortably. The pictures from the web site are a bite deceiving for we got the impression that we would be able to see the lake from our terrace, along with the pool, when in fact you had to get into the car and drive to got to the pool or lake (which was to crowed for comfort) Our suggestion to anyone interested in renting this unit would have to know that the handy man needs to come in fix the following things: The washing machine is broken, (so please bring enough clothing for your stay) none of the outlets in the bathroom work, (so do not plan to blow dry your hair in any of the bathrooms) the kitchen table is wobbly, one of the kitchen chairs is broken, ( but as last the cleaning crew put a note on the chair, so you were aware. You might ask would you come back again, yes but I would be holding 500.00 in escrow to insure that all appliances and household mechanicals were in proper working condition.
Owner response:Dear Dee from Long Island, I am sorry that there were some issues for you during your stay at our home at Big Boulder. I would like to respond to your concerns, I am not sure how you were misguided about the location of the house. It is not advertised as a lake front or lake view property. We are located on the Ski Mountain can view the lifts and skiers from our deck. It is a 1.5 mile car ride to Lake Front and pool. I explained this to your nice who was the contact person for your family. Unfortunately the washer did breakdown during your stay. The water pump needed to be replaced. I was alerted to this problem on Sunday afternoon the repairman had the washer fixed 2 days later. The electrical problem occurred after you had been in the house. It was a circuit breaker that needed to be reset. I had spoken to someone in your family we spoke about checking circuit breakers and reset buttons on the GFI outlets. When I called back later that night to check I was told the problem had been resolved. I had my electrician come to the house on Monday he flipped the circuit breaker back on and the outlets were working. You are correct about the table it is round 54" table with a glass top. The bolts need to be tightened but the handyman could not secure it by himself when he stopped in to fix it. He is scheduled to tighten the table top next week. I am sorry that these misshapes occurred during your stay since the issues were corrected in a timely manner. It is our intention to provide our guests with a relaxing enjoyable and carefree vacation. I understand that when mechanical breakdowns occur it can be bothersome. I do hope you will come back for another visit as you stated in your review. Thanks
