This was a fantastic home for rent for our family of 3 adults and 4 kids. The property is gorgeous, with wonderful views from practically every bedroom and 2 killer porches. Lightning storms are a wonder to behold. There are 2 entry points to rocky beaches ~1 block away, good for scrambling/tidepooling (bring water shoes). For sandy beaches, Plum Cove is a 5 min drive away and the bigger beaches of Wingaersheek, Good Harbor and Crane's beaches are about 15 min away. The home has great amenities (new bathrooms, washer/dryer/dw/NG stove/refrig) which make it super convenient for a home away from home. Not why you go away, but certainly makes it more civilized! Finally, the owners were fantastic. The recommended restaurants were also recommended by our local friends (and TripAdvisor). We loved this quiet gem, which was located close to so many things for all of us to do (key since we had a 3,6,9, and 12 yo!). The only thing to note is this house may not be the best if one in your party is handicapped - there's ~2 flights of walk/steps up to the home, as that's how it affords its great views. Our 3 yo and my 75 yo dad had NO problems navigating it, but not the best if you're in a walker/wheelchair. For everyone else, this is the perfect place!Did you find this review helpful? The house was beachy and fabulous; just what we were looking for. Perfect for family and friends to gather and watch an amazing sunset, relax on the porch, enjoy a meal. Very well equipped and comfortable. A climb up to the house but once you get there you won't want to leave! But you will, there's tons to see and do nearby.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This is the third summer we have stayed here for our family vacation, with participants from London, England and Nashville, Tennessee. If you visit this property you'll see why we've been here for three summers and why we intend to come back again! The house is situated beautifullly and has everything a premier location can offer. The sunsets are to die for!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

Over the years, we have tried to get our five children and assorted mates and grandchildren together for family holidays. As the children have grown older, it becomes more and more difficult to find a time, and a place that "works". Our week in August was absolutely the best time we have had. at the top, we had 11 people sharing the house.....without feeling crowded. The views are terrific. Although the house is not large, it "works" perfectly and had every possible kitchen or other necessity. the only negatives. the house sits on a hill and is not easily accessible to someone who cannot walk up slopes. All the bedrooms and the two bathrooms are on the second floor. here again, someone who has trouble with stairs or walking up hills may have trouble. it was not a problem for our group, but i can see where someone might have a problem. great beaches and touring in the area, too.l all in all, it could not have been better. already thinking about next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This rental was everything we could have asked for and more. The owners were friendly and responsive, the house was warm and inviting, the views were spectacular and the beach was just a short walk away! What a wonderful week we had enjoying the scenery and some delicious dinners on the deck. A must for anyone looking to get away from it all and relax!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

This house is everything we could ask for: amazing views, sunset overt the water, every convenience thought of yet still has old New England charm. The area is a great place for exploring the Boston area, with fantastic beaches, great restaurants, bike trails, golf and unique shops in Rockport and Gloucester. The cove is quiet and on a private road so the kids could enjoy their freedom while we could enjoy the view and a glass of wine.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
