Great house near Rum Point on Grand Cayman

We had a wonderful time in Grand Cayman and Dragons Pearl was the highlight. Great location at Rum Point and its beautiful beach. Plenty of water sports, adventure activities, and restaurants. We walked the beach twice a day. The house itself is well decorated with high ceilings and fans in every room. We spent a lot of time on the lanai relaxing. The kitchen is big and very nice. Everything worked well. The bedrooms and baths were the best we've ever had in a rental property. We would highly recommend Dragons Pearl. Fun place!!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thanks so much for the use of Dragon’s Pearl. Your house is everything you could want in a beach house. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The trip was mainly for my grandson to go the Black Pearl Skate Park; and luckily for us, it was the first week of “Skate Cayman”. He enjoyed an entire day at the camp and was instructed by Shawn White (“The Flying Tomato”). Needless to say, it was a huge success! My granddaughter, age 13, also had her picture taken with Shawn White; neither of them wants to leave. But all good things sometimes have to come to an end, and it is time for us to head back to Kentucky. I am going to post on Trip Advisor (tripadvisor.com) how nice this house and location are – it’s great! Again, thanks.

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We have stayed in many Caribbean houses over the last 20 years and have found this to be one of the most beautiful. It seems every detail is taken care of and made comfortable. The ease with which we could walk to Rum Point or travel into Georgetown was wonderful. I believe the porch was our favorite spot, with some minor skirmishes over who got the hammock vs. the chair swing.

We have enjoyed our stay beyond words, even more than last year! We hope that it will be possible for us to return in April of 2010, and we look forward to talking to you in that regard. What a lovely comfortable home in which to enjoy Grand Cayman! We were enchanted with it, the spaciousness, décor and all the little necessities that were provided. We enjoyed snorkeling here and especially off 7-Mile Beach (just north of the Westin and Cemetery Reef). Captain Jimmy’s glass bottom boat tour to Stingray Sandbar was so memorable, especially for our 12 year old granddaughter, who may become a marine biologist. As I promised, me and my family did come back to Dragon’s Pearl. Like last year, we went to Rum Point Beach every day for the past week. We met a few friends, and I read books all day. On the 20th (which happens to be my birthday) we went to a beautiful restaurant called The Wharf. It was fantastic! All in all, we all had one of the best vacations in our life! We came back to the Caymans after falling in love with this island back in 1999. Last time we were on a cruise ship, we so wanted to come back and stay on the island to experience all of its charms. It was as I remembered ... beautiful white sand beaches, kind island folk, soft breezes and so much to enjoy. Your home made us so comfortable and we have relaxed so much! It has been such a perfect holiday, thanks for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time at your home in Cayman Kai. We look forward to coming again. It was crazy driving on the left. We have had a wonderful time at your Cayman Retreat and we are looking forward to returning in 2009. We have been coming to Cayman for the past 15 years and we have been more at peace at Dragon's Pearl than at any other place we have stayed at. Next year we would like to come for a month and we will contact you in that respect. (from our Guest Book at Dragon's Pearl) One of the things that make Dragon's Pearl a good rental is of course the location at Rum Point and the fact that it is not crowded in by other homes on both sides as are the homes on the beach. The security lighting that comes on automatically at night is a very comforting feature. To walk out the back door and cast into the canal and catch Tarpon, Barracuda, Mangrove Snapper and other kinds of fish is a plus for those of us that like to fish (all in accordance with the Cayman fishing regulations of course) as well as having a place to tie up a small boat. The short walk to the beach is a small price to pay for the quiet serenity offered by the off beach location. (No one walking through your back yard etc.) The kitchen is a cook's delight with all of the necessary appliances and utensils. Reading material is not a problem what with all of the books that are there and for those of us that like to have birds around, having the bushes and trees close at hand, is a good thing.
