We spent Veteran's day weekend at this property and had a great time. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. This house was set up perfectly for two families to share. My only recomendation to new guests is bring slippers! The floors were a little cold! Even though the weather was cold, we found plenty to do in the area. The house is in a very peaceful location and we had a great time cathching up with friends. The owners were very helpful and accomodating. I recommend it!

The home was as described. The view and acess to the water was wonderful. My boyfriend and I went for a kayak ride everyday but one and that was only called on account of ran. The home is situated perfectly for privacy and still accessable to activities and the local grocery. We would gladly reccomend the property and return again. Thank so much for a great experience.

We had a very nice time at this house. The rooms are a good size and the views are awesome. It is nice and quiet at the end of the road. There is not much of a beach, but we sat in the river with a canoe and some tubes. Overall, we had a wonderful time and hope to go back again. The owners are nice and it is easy to work with them.

As shown the lake is outside the front of the house. It is a very natural area just minutes from the city of Front Royal. (~1mile from Christendom College). Had I realized this was available, I would have stayed here when visiting my son at college instead of the motels in Front Royal. Very Relaxing!

We used this place for a golf weekend. Wonderful place to come back to - clean and very relaxing on the river. Close to many courses - Shenandoah Valley, Jackson's Ridge, Blue Ridge Shadows, Bowling Green. It's got all you need for a great golf weekend! Also, gotta try L Dee's or Knotty pine restaurants for breakfast - great country fare!!

We rented this lovely home for graduation weekend at Christendom college. It was nice to have a spacious area to be with family on such a special weekend. The home is very clean and comfortable. The owners were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with on the details on our visit. As a big plus, the home is less than 1 and 1/2 miles from Christendom making it soooo convenient.

Our stay was from August 1-10th, 2008 and what a great time we had. Something for everyone. A beautiful stretch of River for kids, fishing and relaxing for all. The house has every accomodation you could want. And if you are outdoor people like us, all the privacy and door front river access you could want. Great memories. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

Wonderful place to visit. The river was clear and children had as much fun as at the beach. Men caught several large cat fish. Great house and all you need to enjoy a great week. Will visit this place again.

Loved the place! Peace and quiet of the river with modern ammenities, can't ask for anything more! It was Shallow enough for the little kids, deep enough for the fishermen. Close enough to town if you forget something or just want to get off the river.

What a wonderful and convenient getaway!!! The house is beautifully decorated and was immaculate upon our arrival. The secluded location is quiet and the view is breathtaking. The kitchen is very well stocked with all utensils and appliances and the fireplace added to the quaint atmosphere. Our group had a guided tour of five local wineries, each better than the next, and it was so nice to have a short drive back to the house at the end of the day. We will definitely be returning with family and friends during the summer to use the canoes and during the fall to see the spectacular foliage. We are so glad we found your vacation home onlineā¦thanks for a great weekend!

We had a really nice time at your vacation home in Front Royal. The house is very comfortable. The abundance of natural light, the warm wood tones inside, the location on the river, the seclusion... it was perfect for our first vacation as a new family with our little guy!

This house is great! We have rented houses in different areas of the country in the past and this ranks at the top. The setting was beautiful, the house was everything it was advertised to be, and the owners were very easy to work with. We hope to return some day.

This place is gorgeous! We rented it as a mini family reunion in early August and every detail was taken to ensure a pleasant stay. The kitchen was well equipped and each room delightfully furnished. We loved watching the deer family come down to the river while we had morning coffee. The owners were wonderful to work with; we exchanged e-mails and their responses were very prompt. We will do this vacation again!

We rented the house for a getaway to meet family from out of town. It was absolutely wonderful! Peaceful and secluded, yet close to town. The house is beautiful inside and everything we needed was there. We loved sitting outside and watching the wildlife and river flowing by. An awe-inspiring getaway spot!

We rented for a long weekend in August. *Very* peaceful & secluded. Gorgeous views of the river from the upstairs. Enjoyed floating in the river during the day & just relaxing in general. Caught a nice sized smallmouth bass one evening at dusk right out in front of the house. Plenty of wildlife! Checked out a couple of restaurants in Front Royal. Good food & friendly folk. Friday evening concert in the town square was very nice.

We shared the house with family for a long weekend. Very comfortable and well-equipped. Was so nice to be right on the river for canoeing, fishing, swimming. Ate all meals in but explored town as well. Looking forward to going back!

A group of friends and I rented this house last weekend for a little girls' getaway. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed it very much. We cooked one night -- kitchen is nice and well-equipped -- and spent the next day touring wineries and had a lovely dinner out. Covenient to DC -- only an hour and a half drive -- and we appreicated feeling so secluded. Watching the river go by was mesmerizing...
