This condo was exactly as is was advertised. The view is spectacular. The unit is supplied with everything one would need while away from home. There are even boogie boards and sand toys for the kids. The owners are very responsive to any concerns or questions. The condo was clean and in good order when we arrived. This was our second visit to the condo, and I have been recommending the unit to anyone who is considering going to Maui. The pool and hot tub are cleaned every morning. We used the poolside BBQ's almost every evening. The grounds are beautifully maintained. My kids love playing on the grass while I watched them from the lanai. I would not want to stay at any other condo in Maui. The condo is located at the quiet end of Kihei, and is away from the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful Hawaiian vacation, this is the place to stay. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing their home in paradise with us! I hope to return with my family again soon!

Absolutely gorgeous loved it there full closet of beach toys like litterally. Not to far from beach but you shouldn't swim in it. Amazing liked the big rooms and movies and games. I would highly regimens staying there

The condo sits in front of the 300 year old fish pond ,you can go in the water and swim it is just very shallow. The locals don't want people standing on the wall it is a historical landmark. The fishwall is out several hundred yards and at low tied the waves break way out at the wall. During whale season people walk way out to the wall to watch the whales. If you have any friends going to Maui we would love it if you pass our information along, and please keep us in mind for your next trip! and thanks for the great review! Hi Chris,Just wanted to say thanks again for the use of the condo. Everything exceeded expectations. The view from the deck is really nice and sheltered from the afternoon tradewinds. The pool and hot tub were really nice, the grounds are clean and the proximity to the tennis courts and ocean was great. The tennis equipment, boogie boards etc in the utility closet was also a bonus as we didn't have to buy anything. Had a great time whale watching, going to the beach and the kids loved the under sea exploring(on the reefdancer glass bottom submarine) We will certainly be back to stay at your condo in this great family complex.

Clean, quiet and modern condo close to both the ocean and shopping\restaurants. The kids had a blast. Pool and bbq were great and both were used a lot. Lots of toys in the condo. You'll want for nothing. Farmer's market just down the road -- lots of fresh island fruit. I have rented from Chris a couple of times and I would highly recommend this condo rental. From the moment you step off the aircraft and take your scenic drive to Kihei and step into this wonderful condo, your maui trip will be complete, Very close to Mckenna Beach, Best Beach :-) close to shops. Chris and kathy were wonderful hosts and made the trip everything they said it would be. I will be planning another trip there in the future and will be staying in their condo. The condo was clean and very well kept up. Wonderful evenings on the deck, the pool is great in the evenings. Never a hitch. The only issue is going back to Vermont after staying here. Enjoy your stay and again Thank you Chris and kathy. :-)

Hi Chris, Just wanted you to know what a great time we had. The condo was wonderful. We were busy every minute of our stay on the wonderful island of Maui. LuLu's is a favorite resteraunt in Kona and now in Kihei as well. I would recommend staying away fron the Tiki Lounge though Bad service and lousy food. B7B dive company was great as was Kelii Kayaks. Mahalo, The Hackman Family

Hi Chris Well, our third trip back to your condo and this time it was for our honeymoon. Everything was wonderful. The new bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We love how clean the condo is everytime we visit. Isana sushi was absolutely fabulous as well as Fred's mexican food (Taco Tuesday was the best.)We look forward to our next stay.

HI Chris, Yes Maui was wonderful and the condo was fantastic. We had a great time. We ended up spending a lot of time in West Maui (Whalers Village)and towards the end of our stay we went and discovered McKenna Beach which was wonderful also. The only downfall was we did not have enough time to see everything we wanted to.Please mention if anyone goes up the volcano to dress warm if going for the sunrise. Ha Ha we did not, shorts and t-shirts, well we were cold. I will send you some photos later. Thank you again Chris. We did clean the place up before we left and hope it was ok. Again Chris THANK YOU. Sorry to take so long to respond to your e-mail. We really enjoyed the time we spent on Maui, in your condo. We are very pleased with the condo overall-the amenities (beach items, kitchen items) were great. There was nothing that we could have needed that was not there for us! We were a little disappointed about the fact that there was no elevator. 4 women hauling up all of their luggage two flights of stairs was not something we had anticipated. I have stayed in other condos of similar type and elevators were on the property-so that was the only negative that we encountered. The pool area, and greenspace between the property and beach was very nice. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider staying there again--packing a little lighter!! Thanks, Kathy

Aloha Chris and Kathleen, We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed staying at the Luana Kai resort.The condo was very clean and comfortable.The view was excellent and the grounds were lovely and well kept.Our only observation is that the pool itself and the pool deck are in need of repairs.Regardless, we made good use of the pool and barbeque area, enjoyed meeting and talking with other guests while cooking and using the hot tub in the evening.My daughter and I took morning walks along the beach, otherwise we did not use the beach area.The kids played tennis and shuffleboard often, and our golfer son went out and putted almost every day.We would happilly recommend your condo as well as stay there again if we are lucky enough to visit Maui in the future. Aloha Chris & Kathy, Where to begin...we had a really great time on Maui. Your condo was everything that you listed, plus alot more. We really appreciated all the extra items there for our use. The unit was very clean and comfortable. Great views of the sunset. The grounds and pool were well kept. When we arrived the "night manager" made it very clear not to contact her with any problems because she didn't rent that unit. We had no problems. We went to "Boss Frogs" to make arrangements for some activities and found it very helpful. Making arrangements for the condo were very easy. Would definitely recommend it to others. Maybe we'll do this again sometime in the future. Guest comments in the condo were interesting, sorry we did not take the time to write. Please feel free to use our comments. Mahalo, Dan & Doris P.S. What I loved about your condo was that the breeze blew in and sometimes I would catch a drift of plumeria. The doves always sang in the morning and I can still hear them singing in my head. Dear Chris, We very much enjoyed our stay at your condo.In response to your questions: The condo was clean. The grounds and pool were well-kept. We were glad to use the float, boogie board and other beach items that we found in the condo. We grilled a lot and found the fresh fish in all of the markets was always great.Very small points re: condo: We were visited ongoing by very tiny ants.We worked to eliminate all crumbs.It wasn't an issue for us. The light in the upstairs bathroom would sometimes just go out....I mentioned this to your manager. She may have fixed it or it fixed itself, because toward the end of our stay, it stayed on when it should stay on. Also, bathroom fans were very noisy.We used to have fans like that and replaced them all with Panasonic fan/lights which were much quieter. As I said, very small issues. We were so happy when we arrived to find your condo with functional and tasteful furnishings, a view of the ocean and the pool, with a comfortable lanai and quiet neighbors.The kitchen was well-equipped, with all the basic condiments we needed.The guest comments books were helpful in terms of sightseeing and dining.Your guidebook was very helpful as well. We felt we received great value for what we spent on the condo. On the fun side, Boyd took windsurfing and surfing lessons, Isabella learned to love "almost swimming" in the pool, and I had some great therapeutic massages in the Makawao home of an environmentalist who was our guide at the Nature Center at the Iao Needle.We spent alot of time exploring the island and found there were so many beaches to enjoy, a variety of activities and fun restaurants for the whole family. Scott and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The condo itself and grounds were meticously cared for. We loved the quiet times we spent out on the lanai at sunset. One thing not to miss is the spectacular view of the pool and the ocean. I would whole-heartedly recommend Luana Kai for your next vacation.

WOW!!! Great place to vacation it was wonderful.We loved the pool you could lounge and look at the ocean at the same time.Chip loved sitting on the lanai having dinner and watched them light the tiki tourches.We will see you in July next year for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Chris, I've finally returned to the office, and it was one of the hardest things I've had to do. I just wanted you to know that we had an xcellent trip, and it was a pleasure staying in your condo. Because it did rain for the entire day on Monday the 13th, I was beginning to wonder if that was going to be our luck for the week, but fortunately the sun came back out and it was great.I hope I followed the rules ok. I assumed cleaning of sheets and towels and so forth was taken care of after we left, so we did not wash them. We cleaned the kitchen and placed all dishes and pans back in their spots.Threw out any left over foods that would spoil, or gave them to our friends who were staying in building A. They were in 303A, although I do not know who owned that particular condo.Our time went too fast. We saw a lot of super places and my daughter had the best wedding ever at the Wailea Outrigger Resort.I hope to be able to return again, and when that time comes I hope to be able to stay once again at your place. Dear Chris This is a very tardy note to say thank you for renting the condo to us over the holidays. We loved it and had a tremendous vacation.Luana Kai is amazingly quiet for the size and the unit feels much biggerthan it is because of the size of the deck and the upstairs. We had no problems whatsoever, apart from the ants which we discussed. Only suggestion I would have would be to add another book shelf unit or something in the living room to hold all the maps, keys, cell phones sunglasses,suntan lotion, cd players, etc etc that we all had. The entertainment unit,that is there is pretty full and with six of us there was a lot of clutter that we kept shuffling around. But that's just what I would do - not a criticism. We loved sleeping upstairs with the fans going and the breeze coming in through the high windows - it was heaven. Thanks and feel free to use me as a referral. Hopefully we will be back soon....
