  I spent an amazing "Girls' Weekend" at this property and it was an incredible experience for all of us! The property is a piece of mountain heaven! In fact, we all spent more time at the house than we thought we would - it's such a relaxing, inviting and beautiful place. Great for the soul. Frank was so accomodating. We'll be back! My only wish was a nice big non-stick frying pan for the kitchen. :-)

  A group of 9 (8 cyclists with chef) stayed at "Our House" the week of April 6 to 13. The place was impeccable. Clean, roomy, well appointed. Frank Dixon, the owner, was extremely accommodating with shopping and entertainment suggestions. Fresh, free range eggs were suppled every day. Frank also arranged for an excellent massage therapist to help relieve our sore bodies after days of suffering up the massive Blue Ridge Mountain climbs. The kitchen is large, with a dishwasher. There is a laundry. The place is close to Asheville, which we took to calling "Funkytown". We consumed vast quantities of superb local beer. Frank made sure we were comfortable without being intrusive. He was very communicative and easy to contact regarding questions or requests. This is the second year we have made the pilgrimage and in a funny way I am reluctant to write this review because I kind of wish to keep the secret to myself. Worth every penny.

  Wow, we absolutely loved our stay at The Cove. Frank was a wonderful host making sure we had wood in the fireplaces, fresh eggs and home made bread. We loved the hot top and the robes were a great, special touch. The house has plenty of room and everything you need to cook or just relax. The location is great, easy to get to and there is a lot to do around this area. This is a great place to use as a home base as you site see in the area or as a true mountain getaway.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This was our third year to spend a weekend at "Our House," and it is perfect for our group of eight adults. From the open kitchen to the hot tub to the cozy game room downstairs, the house provides the perfect setting for a group that's happy to spend all day inside relaxing and catching up. Of course, with downtown Asheville so close, it's hard to resist going out, too. We'll be back next year!

  Our extended family loved being at Our House for Christmas this year. Everyone enjoyed seeing the chickens and even more, eating their wonderful eggs. The house was cozy and well equipped. Our only regret was the cold weather, well it was December afterall, which kept us from enjoying the wonderful outdoor space as much as we wanted - the decks and gardens are beautiful, even in winter. The location seemed secluded but was not too far from groceries, restaurants,activities and downtown Asheville. We would love to come back in the spring or fall to enjoy this great home!

  Frank, We had a terrific stay at Our House! There was more than enough room, amenities, and bed space for all 8 of us – just not enough time to enjoy it all! Everyone loves your friendly animals and the fresh eggs were amazing! Thanks for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful house with us!

  Frank- Thanks for such a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful!! The eggs were the best we’ve ever had & the bread was a wonderful welcome. We enjoyed the hot tub and the waterfalls. The view from the deck was restful after touring the Biltmore all day. We hope to come back soon and stay longer next time.

  We had an awesome time this weekend on our couples getaway. “Our House” is gorgeous! The fresh eggs were delicious and we really enjoyed gathering them every day. The hot tub / fireplace is a vacationer’s dream come true. Thank you so much for hospitality. Thanks for keeping up our wood supplies too.

  “Our House” was a fabulous get-away for us. Thanks for your hospitality! The special touches were appreciated more than you know – from the barn tour and introduction to “the girls” to the fresh eggs to the fires laid and ready for lighting. The big kid enjoyed everything as much as the little one. We can’t wait for a return trip - one in every season!!

  what a fantastic place in the mountains. Frank and his family were very hospitable, we stayed at Our House and LOVED it! My kids had a ball feeding the animals, we thoroughly enjoyed the house, the hottub, waterfall and massage! Thanks so much, will definitely see you again! A+++++
