Why the Owner Chose Asheville
We bought this property because of the beauty of the area! When we purchased the property it had “Our House” and “My Roundette”. We added 16 acres adjoining to the 8 that was originally purchased. We renovated both the houses using old wood from barns we acquired in the area, wormy chestnut and oak mostly. In 06’ we decided to build another house higher up on the mountain and share “Our House” with others thru vacation rental. Our company, The Cove at Fairview, was started in early 07’. In the fall of 08’ we began renting “My Roundette” that became available when our youngest daughter married and then purchased a house close by. The company was started by the desire to have both daughters remain in this area working with us, therefore we became a family business!
The Unique Benefits at this House
A few of the benefit of staying at “The Cove at Fairview” properties are as follows:
• Homes utilizing reclaimed wood both with walls/trim.
• Antique/rustic furniture with comfortable beds featuring Egyptian cotton linens.
• Fully equipped kitchens with gas and charcoal grills.
• Waterfalls with Koi fish in three small ponds with picnic tables, a hammock, and a swing to enjoy outdoor relaxing.
• Animals- Horses, a Duck, Chickens, and cats are in our barn area for visiting and enjoying.
• Fresh eggs are made available to our guest as well as homemade bread.
• Being able to use all the amenities of one of the areas most exclusive private country clubs- including golf, tennis, swimming, dinning, as well as meeting facilities.
Our guest say a huge benefit is the peacefulness of the property- the majority leave refreshed from their vacation. Being located within close proximity of all the Asheville and Western North Carolina attractions provides visitors with many choices.

We love love love Our House! We took the opportunity to spend a long weekend in Asheville and found everything we needed here plus so much more. The Dixons go above and beyond in making sure everything is just right! We spent one day running around Asheville and the second day decided we were absolutely content to hang out at the house. There is plenty of space for everyone to find a quiet spot to read a book, play a rowdy game, visit the barn or soak in the hot tub! The kitchen was equipped with absolutely everything we needed and we used it, only eating out once. We can't wait to visit again, and have decided that if it is this awesome in the winter at Our House, spring summer and fall ought to be just incredible!

Our stay at "Our House" was wonderfully relaxing. The owners were very attentive and informative, offering suggestions and researching anything we might want to do. The house was wonderful-just like the pictures. We were 2 families, with kids ages 9, 12 & 13. They never once said they were bored. They LOVED the barn and the animals-feeding the horses and chickens and gathering eggs. The cats were so sweet-we are partial to Opi and Mittens. We felt the location was great and there was lots to do close by(hiking the Blue Ridge Pkay-especially going South to mile past 417 with a beautiful waterfall and 418.8 Graveyards Fields and picking wild blueberries and blackberries...yum! White water rafting at Huck Finn Rafting in Hot Springs was AWESOME, the Biltmore of course was amazing as well. But be sure to enjoy the house and property (outside fireplace and hot tub looking up at the lit up waterfalls at night!) Also enjoyed massages by the outdoor fireplace and a great place for smores! Nothing like getting back in touch with nature-not cell phones/lap tops needed-just enjoying what God has created! Thanks Frank & family....we WILL be back!

I spent a week at "Our House" with 5 friends and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and spacious, even nicer than it appeared in the photos. The property around it was also beautiful. We especially enjoyed the chickens, horses and very friendly cats! Being a city girl, I especially enjoyed feeding the horses carrots. The owners were as accommodating as they could be, making sure we had everything we needed and helping us arrange lots of activities. We visited the Biltmore, went horse-back riding nearby and had massages one day outdoors, with the sound of the waterfall in the background. We also went for some great hikes on nearby trails. All in all, it was a wonderful week and I would love to go back with my family.

We had a very relaxing vaction at "Our House". The fireplaces are beautiful and the hot tub was a great way to get ready for bed. We had some friends and family come and met us; the house was a great place to entertain and relax. The porch has a great view of the mountians and the chickens produced fresh eggs for us each morning.

Wow, what a vacation getaway! We enjoyed the views, the fireplaces, the wonderful fluffy beds, the hot tub and robes, the fresh mountain air, the waterfalls, the amazing lighting outdoors and every other detail that Frank and Marietta tended to in order to make this retreat a memorable experience. Our teen boys had the entire lower level to themselves for gaming, sleeping, tv and hanging out, while we adults enjoyed the upper level which had two bedrooms, a huge relaxing deck, a powerful hot tub overlooking a beautiful outdoor fireplace and much more. The Cove at Fairview is perfectly located just minutes from Asheville, close to shopping and even Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. We felt pampered, relaxed and never wanted to leave. OMG this is a find!! Heaven!
