Its all about the patio....a great place and a fantastic bargain!

As the other reviewers have noted, Franck is great. He met us at the airport and had us (and another couple going to a nearby property) follow him to the villa. He stocked the fridge with breakfast items for us....awesome! The interior of the villa is a little dated and would benefit from some repairs/renovations, but it was reasonably clean, secure, and comfortable. It is open to the outdoors in the living areas (not screened) but the bedrooms have AC for the nights you need it for sleeping. This worked great for us. The kitchen is small, but well outfitted, including leftover cooking stables (oil, vinegar, spices, salt and pepper, tea, etc). There are two restaurants just steps away, but our two favorite ones were a short drive (Snack Fredo in Petite Anse d'Arlet and La Voile Blanche in Le Diamant). Eating breakfast on the patio watching the sun rise over Sainte-Anne is worth the price alone. Highly recommend!

Great Value by the Sea!

We are a family of six from Boston with four children ages 10 to 20. When looking to rent, we like to be right on the ocean, with great views and close access to the water. This rental provides that. The back porch is really beautiful, much nicer than the picture. It's quite large and the views are simply spectacular--we had wonderful meals out back listening to the surf and looking out at the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea. This beach overlooks the Diamond Rock, one of the most stunning views in Martinique. Although you can't see the Diamond Rock from the back porch, because a neighbor's palm tree is in the way, there's a bench just down the driveway with a beautiful view of the ocean and the Rock. Just a few more steps down a staircase takes you to the beach itself, which is great for walking and features, a short walk away, three restaurants, including one, New Cap, that is considered the best in Diamant (and we agreed). The town of Le Diamant, a few minutes away by car, features seemingly endless white sand beaches, a grocery store, pastry shop, and hotels (also a medical center). Going the other direction, a relatively short (although mountainous!) drive brings you to the pretty beaches of Anse d'Arlet. Franck is extremely responsive and helpful and English among the best that we encountered in Martinique. He was great to work with while planning the trip and he even came to the airport when we arrived. He was extremely patient and helpful while it took longer than expected to rent our car and we even saw him helping other families just because he's that good of a person. We were glad that we were able to follow him to the house because it might have been difficult to find in the dark. We were pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms, and happy to see that the air conditioners worked well in the bedrooms, although it really didn't get that hot. He had even left food for us in the well stocked, if simple, kitchen. He came to check in on us the next day just to make sure that everything was okay and gave us a great recommendation for a near by beach for snorkeling. We would definitely go back and hope to do so soon!

Bon sejour

La maison est bien située pour les excursions dans l’ile. Le diamant est suffisamment central et proche de la grande route centrale. Un bémol peut-être, le vent qui a été plus fort que d’habitude à cette période, mais personne n’est à blâmer pour ça 😄. L’acces à la plage est facile. Confort correct et bonne réactivité en cas de soucis. Merci à Véronique d’avoir été à notre écoute.

Situation extraordinaire

Appartement très bien équipé pour passer un bon séjour, le mobilier du salon a été changé récemment (moins vieillot que sur les photos), la grande terrasse permet de passer des soirées au frais. Lever de soleil magnifique tous les matins ! Le propriétaire est réactif aux demandes des vacanciers. Seul bémol : deux bouteilles d'eau dans le frigo et de quoi se faire un café/thé le premier matin aurait été un plus.
