Our Kihei Akahi, 1 bedroom / 1 bath, ocean view condo is newly remodeled and professionally decorated in a Hawaiian style with artwork from local artists. You'll find everything you need to relax and immerse yourself in the Aloha spirit of Maui.
Our condo is perfect for special people like you who enjoy the luxury of having that first cup of coffee sitting on the lanai, watching the changing colors of the sky and ocean, smelling the scent of plumeria and listening to the birds sing. Or enjoy a Maui sunset sipping a Mai Tai before a romantic moonlight walk on the beach.
A fully equipped kitchen allows you to make your favorite meals if you choose to cook or you can walk a short distance to some of the best restaurants and shops in Kihei. Wailea is just a five minute drive for great shopping.
While there is an air conditioner most guests rarely use it because of the wonderful tropical breeze that naturally cools the condo when the windows are open.
Located on the 4th floor of the C building in Kihei Akahi, we're 100 yards from the soft sands and warm waters of Kamaole Beach II, where you can relax on the beach, snorkel, boogie board or body surf. Our unit has beach towels, mats, umbrella, chairs and cooler for your use. If you enjoy walking, a path along the beach connects to the Wailea resort area. There is an activity desk at the complex to help you schedule activities such as luau's, Molokini trips, etc. Since we live close-by, we have a guest book with some of our favorite Maui activities and restaurants, snorkeling spots, and beaches too.
The Kihei Akahi tennis court opens at 7:00am so you can get in that early morning game. Golf is available at one of 6 world class courses within 5-10 minutes drive.
We pride ourselves in maintaining our condo with very high standards with regard to aesthetic appeal and cleanliness. There is no smoking within the condo or on the lanai. No pets are allowed.

Why the Owner Chose Kihei Akahi
We bought our Kihei Akahi condo because it is located at the best beaches in Maui and is just a mile from Wailea. Wailea is the upscale resort in South Maui where there is world class golf and tennis, fine dining, and the Shops at Wailea. But while Wailea is so close, it is also expensive. At Kihei Akahi we found excellent accommodations at a faction of the cost so our guests could spend more time enjoying all that Maui offers.

We enjoy helping our guests get the most from their Maui experience. We are happy to give restaurant tips, our receommendations on activities, and sharing some of the best snorkel spots. As members of the Kihei Canoe Club, we enjoy inviting our guests to join us for a morning paddle in an outrigger canoe. If you are a Rotarian, we'd enjoy having you join us for breakfast and one of our club meeting.
There are many things to do on Maui that don't cost much money or are free. We'd be happy to help you learn about them.

We are Berney and Pat, the Kihei Beach Bums. We were married on a Maui beach in 2004 exchanging vows in a beautiful Hawaiian ceremony. After moving to Maui in 2007, we immersed ourselves in local activities and became members of the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise, the Kihei Canoe Club and the Kihei Community Association. We live a short stroll from our condo and often meet our guests.

Berney and Pat's condo was a great place to stay. The location is ideal and the condo was very clean and well equipped. Beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel gear, a cooler...you name it, it was available. We used the pool at the complex one afternoon when the winds picked up on the beach. Though on the small side, the complex pool has a lot of lounge chairs, pop machine and covered area. We met some nice folks while lounging around the pool. The view from the condo lanai was very nice. One evening we opened a bottle of wine and took in the sunset from the lanai. I especially liked that we were able to meet Berney when we arrived. He takes great pride in his condo and was a wealth of information for activities and whatnot during our stay. The location of the condo is ideal as well. About a 2 minute walk to the Kamaole II beach. (Kihei Akahi is directly across the street from beach.) Good restaurants within walking distance. I hope to come back to Maui and would definitely stay at this condo again! Mahalo!

Berney and Pat are hosts that think of guest comforts. Everything from beach-chairs, to towels, to boogey boards can be found in this super-clean, perfectly located Kihei condo. Ocean is directly accross the street and we were able to walk to local restaurants and stores. Pack light cause not only will you live in your bathing suit here, but the in unit w/d allows for quick clean-ups. Can't wait to return. Grace and Mike P.
