It has a sugar sand bottom and a dock is provided. Cotton Lake is one of Minnesota's great fishing lakes, is almost 4,000 acres and the north side borders The Tamarac National Refuge. It's tranquil setting is close to all the amenities of Detroit Lakes. Also, enjoy a day of tubing down the Ottertail River just 1/2 mi. away or exploring an island, in an island, in an island on the lake. There is boat rental and a pub/restaurant on the lake.
