A long private driveway off a quiet road leads to a one room cottage on seven acres. Only the owner's home on the property; no other homes in sight.
Originally built by artist caretakers to a Manhattan horticulturist, the 550 sq. ft. cottage is spacious, with a large bedroom/sitting room , separate fully equipped kitchen , and skylit bath. There is heat, airconditioning, all amenities including wireless dsl.
In winter, you can light a fire in the wood stove and look out the large picture window to views of the mini lake, birches and spruce.The cabin is heated and cozy with reading chair and sofa, a bed opposite both the fire and view.
In summer, sit on the front deck and hear the stream rushing from the lily pond to the one acre lake. Step out the back door to a private garden for outdoor grilling and dining.
There are chaises for reading and relaxing on your private gazebo cantilevered over the lake and a dock from which to swim or canoe. The lake is clear, spring fed and over 20' deep, set off by mountain views.
The cottage is professionally decorated with a queen size bed, a hi-riser bed that acts as a sofa by day, reading and dining areas, wood stove, antiques.Cable TV,VCR,DVD. CD player; wireless DSL. Microwave, Toaster Oven, Tape and book libraries , guides, maps and more.
Guests Garden is perfectly located so that you can enjoy the best of the Berkshires and Columbia County. Only 18 minutes to Tanglewood and Kripalu. Less than a half hour from the towns of Great Barrington, West Stockbridge, and Lenox, Massachusetts as well as Chatham, Hillsdale, and Hudson, New York. 4 major Ski Slopes all nearby. An easy two and a half hour drive to Boston or Manhattan.

The property is enchanting. The cottage is very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. We spent most of the days out exploring and so we were happy to come home to our place. We had planned to eat out Saturday night, but grilling and eating home was so much more relaxing..... We had a wonderful weekend.
